I'm nervous to the point where my hands were trembling.

I was on the phone with Malique since his lawyer and his dad got some way for him to have one of his phones inside.

After I spoke with his lawyer, he asked for Malique's phone and I gave it to him and that's where it went from.

"Babes?" he called.

"Hmmm?" I answered, realizing that I had zoned out.

"Look how long maa call yuh, a sleep yaa sleep?" He asked.

"No, mi did zone out," I replied.

"Wah yaa think bout?" He asked.

"Everything," I sighed.

"Stop worry yuh self nuh, Wah mi tell yuh say?" He asked.

"I know, I just can't help it," I replied.

"Well, mi nuh waah yaa worry yuh self ova dem simple thing yah?" He said into the phone.

How can he say it's simple when he's literally behind bars?

"I heard you the first 100 times," I replied.

"Well yaa go hear waah next 100 again," he said.

Suppose him know say mi nuh eat from him get lock up. Like I'd drink stuff but I can't take more than a bite of food.

I drink my protein shake every day because it's a food supplement and it'll have to do for now.

"Babe?" I called him.

"Yow," he answered.

"Yuh nervous bout tomorrow?" I asked since tomorrow was his court date.

"No babes, fi wah?" He asked.

"Because it could determine your future," I said.

"So yaa leff mi if mi gaa jailhouse?" He asked.

"I never said that," I replied rolling my eyes.

"Is a yes or no question enuh," he said.

"No dummy," I replied.

"Awoh."

"You're so full of yourself," I mumbled.

"Mhmm mi supposed to," he replied.

"Anything make yuh sleep at night," I murmured.

"Two weeks left back fi yuh birthday?" He asked me.

"Yeah," I frowned.

"Wah yuh want?" He asked.

"I want you home," I said into the phone.

"And suppose mi cyaa give yuh that babes?" He asked.

"You promised," I replied.

"But babes promises are meant to be broken," he said.

"I don't want to speak to you anymore, bye," I said about to hang up.

"A joke a joke easy nuh, a so yuh easy a vex?" He laughed.

"A cause yuh ramp too much," I folded my arms. "And it's not funny."

"Yuh a move like mad Oman," he said.

"Says the madman," I taunted.

I got up from the floor and brushed the imaginary dirt off me, then I lay on the bed curling up into a ball.

Azora started barking loudly because she wanted to get on the bed and our bed was high so she couldn't get on.

"A waam to the dog?" Malique asked.
