1 week in the hospital

Carina heads into the NICU  on her break to see you. She smiles and puts her pager away " Hi Bambino. How are we feeling today?" Arizona is holding you while checking on you. You coo and kick your legs as Arizona chuckles " Aww does someone hear their mama?" Carina smiles and holds out her arms as Arizona gently lays you in Carina's arms and she holds you close and kisses your hand " We have to call mommy. She misses you, Bambino." you stare at her and yawn as Arizona chuckles " Little guy is doing amazing. His vitals are normal and the drugs are slowly getting out of his system and Mister Man has gain a whole pound.  When Maya comes we will do the car seat test and he can go home once we get a name."  Carina sits in the chair and smiles " We will figure out a name. We just looking for the perfect one." She kisses your head and smiles Arizona sets your chart down and nods and walks out as Carina adjusts you and grabs her phone as she facetimes Maya.  Maya picks up " Hey babe. Is everything ok? Is the baby ok?" Carina chuckles " He is perfectly fine. He actually ready to go home when you get here. It's just the car seat test and his name." she turns the camera around and you stare at Maya. She smiles " Hi buddy. Do you know who I am? I'm mommy. I'm excited to bring you home. I hope you like it." You smile and coo when you hear Maya voice and kick your legs. Carina chuckles " I think he recognizes your voice." Maya smiles wide " That is good right? That he recognizes voices; does he recognizes yours?" Carina nods " He does. He sounded very excited when I came in earlier to cheek on him.He loves his mama." She kisses your head and fixes your blanket as Maya laughs and smirks "  Oh he sounded excited? What did he say?" Carina laughs " That he is excited to go home with his mommy and see his new home." Maya smiles and fiddles with her pen " You are coming over right? I don't want to break him." Carina smiles " Of course I will come over but you won't break him. He will let you know if something is wrong."   Maya nods " I will still appreciate if you come. He seems like a easy baby."   Carina nods " He does." Maya smiles " I found some Nannies. But Andy ask me if Captain Herrea can watch him. Which I'm not against because I trust him. I know him he won't hurt him. What do you think?" Carina smiles " I think that a good idea. We need someone to trust with Bambino." Maya nods " Then I will set it up.  Now lastly it is just the daycare. There a couple good ones. But I'm not sure." Carina shakes her head " Nonsense. The hospital has a daycare. He can go here." Maya shakes her head "that won't work. He has to be a doctor kid." Carina laughs " Umm hello? I have a few favors I can call on. I will get him in the daycare."  Maya smiles " Well thank you. I owe you." Carina shakes her head " Nonsense Bambina."They watch you sleep until the alarm goes off and you wake up and coo Maya gets up " I got to go. Tell little man I love him. Bye!" She hangs up and Carina sets her phone down and smiles at you as you coo and yawn. Carina adjusts you and kisses your head " Mommy loves you and will see you later." She starts singing a Italian lullaby as you slowly fall asleep.

             Around the evening time Maya and Andy show up as Carina greets them and kisses Maya " Bambino is ready for his carseat test and to go home." Maya nods " I'm excited to bring him home. I was thinking of some names at work." Carina smiles " I have too." They enter your room as Carina gently picks you up as Maya sets the car seat down as she looks at Carina " So what happens now?" Carina smiles as she gently sets you in the car seat and puts on the monitor's stickers " Well we will monitor his heartbeat, breathing, and oxygen and if he passes then you can take your bambino home." Maya nods and stands next to you and smiles " Buddy you need to pass this test. Biggest test of your life you got this." You look up and coo as Andy laughs " geez way to put pressure on him." Maya and Carina laugh as Carina makes sure everything is connected as she looks at Maya " So names? What are we thinking?" Maya shrugs her shoulders " I was thinking of fire-related names. Like Asher or Blaze?"  Carina laughs " You must really love your job huh?" Maya smiles " Of course I do but also because Blaze Bishop sounds amazing." Andy starts laughing " Sounds like a good way to get bullied." Maya glares at Andy " He won't be bullied for that name." She plays with your hand as they think Andy speaks " What about Ryan?" Maya gives Andy a small smile " That is a good name but I think you should save it for your kid. Umm, what about Alexander or Daniel?" Carina sighs and whispers in Italian to you " they aren't very good with this Bambino. What about Luca?" You coo and look at Carina as Carina claps " He seems to like Luca." Maya and Andy look over as you coo and Andy laughs " Are we sure it is the name or just Carina's voice?" Maya smiles " Umm Lucas? Do you like that name?" you coo and kick your legs as Carina smirks " Luca it is." Maya nods " Lucas Ryan Bishop?" Andy looks at Maya and nods and takes a deep breath.  Carina gets the birth certificate and hands it to Maya she writes down your name and sighs " Birthdate? We don't even know when he was born. Mason said he was born from October 30 to Nov 1st. How can you be so high you don't even remember your kid's birthday?" Carina rubs Maya as Maya sighs annoyed " You know what we putting Halloween candy and cake in one day." Andy looks like Maya is " extra spoiled. He deserves it." Maya and Carina nod as Maya finishes writing out your name and birthdate and Carina takes it. She comes back and smiles " There we go now let your bambino home. He is doing amazing so far and he falls asleep." Maya smiles "It's good to know car rides put him to sleep. Makes bedtime easier." Carina rolls her eyes and laughs " You can't do that every night." Maya smiles " of course not."
After another thirty minutes the timer finally dings and Maya smiles as Carina gets the wires off " Congratulations you can now take home your bambino. He passes with flying colors." Maya smiles " I'm nervous... So do I just change him and walk out?" Andy laughs as Maya looks at her " What? It is a good to question. You said you wanted to be here for moral support so be quiet." Carina nods " Yes. The paperwork is all in. The doctor who is me are   writing the notes and Arizona is going to gave  you a packet with follow-up appointments. I shall go change so that I will help you the first night. What is bambino going home outfit?"  Maya smiles wide " Station 19 onesie and some sweat pants." Carina laughs  and passes you to Maya " Of course. I will be right back."

Carina meets Maya at her house and Maya looks at Carina and then down at you " Welcome home buddy. I promise to do the best I can."
