song: i love you —treasure
20| one kiss is all it takes
"sunghoon we've been walking for the past twenty minutes already. where are we going?" sunoo whined, stomping his foot childishly on the grassy land.
sunghoon had been dragging sunoo around the block. they had passed by the same lake more than five times already. he halted in his steps, as he let go of sunoo's wrist, which was slightly red from how long sunghoon was clinging onto it.
"why were you with jung?" sunghoon asked calmly, too eerily calm for sunoo's liking.
"wooyoung hyung?–" sunghoon's eyes locked with sunoo, with the same fire in his eyes that he had seen earlier at the cafe.
sunoo cleared his throat, "i was on a blind date with him."
sunghoon licked his lips, "did you like it?"
"huh?" sunoo blabbered, his attention swayed to sunghoon's lips that had a slight sheen to it now.
"look at me–" sunoo's eyes immediately locked with sunghoon's, the butterflies in his stomach flying around uncontrollably.
"–did you like the date?"
sunoo fumbled, he wasn't expecting sunghoon to ask that of all things. "i– huh– wha–"
sunghoon's arms slinked around sunoo's waist, pulling him closer. sunoo jerked forward, his palms on sunghoon's chest, the soft thrumming of sunghoon's heart felt by his fingertips.
"did you like it better than our date?" sunghoon whispered, his breath ghosting sunoo's lips.
"our...date?" sunoo's heart stopped. he was pretty sure he wasn't hearing things right. it had to be a dream. nothing but a cruel dream.
"hoon..." sunoo breathed.
sunghoon's eyes roamed around sunoo's face, memorising every feature, how his mole underneath his eye accentuated his fox-eyes, how his lashes fluttered gracefully, how his full-lips were slightly parted right now, his name falling from the pretty boy's lips.
sunghoon loved every inch of sunoo which he didn't believe was humanly possible to be swept up by someone so fully. but he was. he was completely enchanted, enraptured by kim sunoo. he knows there had never been a time he hadn't, back then and right now. it always has been the same feeling with sunoo.
it wasn't just comfort. it was love. his heart thrummed and yearned for sunoo. sunghoon's heart belonged to sunoo. it was up to sunoo on whether he wants to treasure it or throw it away. it wasn't in sunghoon's control anyways, he had realised that he had given his heart a long time ago.
"i'd like to kiss you without asking permission, but i can't..."
sunoo couldn't control the flutter within his stomach, the violent heartbeat.
"i shouldn't..." sunghoon swallowed hard as his hand caressed sunoo's cheek carefully, the brush of his cold fingers sending impulses to sunoo's spine.
sunghoon hooked his index under sunoo's chin, tilting his head upwards gently until their lips were centimetres away, their warm breaths intermingling.
sunghoon kissed him. there wasn't a moment of hesitation.
sunoo shuddered and there was a sound from the back of sunghoon's throat, half growl, half moan. little shivers of pleasure and panic shot through sunoo as he deepened the kiss, parting his lips.
sunoo's mind had gone to mush. his fingers tugged and pulled at the soft lustrous hair of sunghoon's at the base of his neck. sunoo felt small sparks come alive, his heart swelling to the point of near bursting. the rush of sensations crawling across his body was intoxicating. scary yet ever so thrilling.
they were kissing like crazy. like their lives depended on it. sunghoon's tongue slips inside sunoo's mouth, gentle but demanding, and it's nothing like what sunghoon has ever experienced.
he understood why people described kisses as magical. kissing sunoo was magical to sunghoon. the gaping hole in his heart sealed, and how he feels sunoo's body melt into his was so addictive.
sunghoon's fingers tightly hold onto sunoo's waist pulling him impossibly closer. sunghoon has never wanted anyone this badly. ever.
they slowly pulled away, sunghoon admiring sunoo's flushed face and swollen lips.
mine. mine. mine.
"why are you doing this? why are you giving me hope?" sunoo mumbled.
sunghoon interlaced his fingers with sunoo's. "i love you. i've always loved you. i'm sorry it took me so long to say it back."
sunoo's eyes widened in shock, "you knew i liked you?"
sunghoon nodded, "recently."
sunoo stumbled slightly, pulling away from sunghoon, "are you doing this out of pity? do you pity me sunghoon?"
sunghoon took a step closer, "why do you doubt my feelings? i love you. i'd never do it out of pity. especially never to you." the sincerity dripping from sunghoon's voice.
sunoo's slight hesitance was noticeable.
"you don't need to say it back. i'm just letting you know," sunghoon whispered before taking a few steps back.
he knew what he was getting into from the moment he decided to kiss him. he never expected sunoo to reciprocate. but he can't lie. it hurt.
sunoo trembled, slight tears in his eyes as he watched sunghoon's retreating figure. "sunghoon!"
sunghoon froze, two arms locked around his waist, sunoo backhugging him.
"i've waited for so long. i just couldn't believe it was real especially since– what i meant to say is. i like you sunghoon. more than you could imagine."
sunghoon smiled through his tears. "boyfriend?"
sunoo laughed as sunghoon twirled him in the air, "boyfriends."
thoughts? i do read all your comments
they make me smile.
