I opened the foods habang kinukuha nya yung tubig na kukunin nya dapat kanina. Once everything's settled dahil mayroon na ding pinggan, I tried to smell the chicken in front of us, mukha kasing bland.
"It's Grilled chicken with rosemary lemon." sabi niya habang hinihiwa ito at nilagyan ang aking pinggan.
Sinadya ko talagang marami ang sakanya, he just laughed and let me.
"I need it for my training."
"Wala ba kayong training ngayon?
It tastes even better than what it looks like! Saan kaya nya ito inorder? This looks like a homemade food, kasi brown rice and aming kanin at mayroon ding salad. Then some fresh vegetable spring rolls.
"Meron tuwing umaga hanggang hapon, then I'm free at night."
Tahimik kaming kumain na dalawa. Doon ko naisip na what if we started to talk about things tapos hindi maganda ang kinalabasan? We're okay now, at least. Gusto ko sana matagal kaming ganito. I want to appreciate this moment for a while.
"How was it?" tanong niya pagkatapos naming kumain. Uminom ako ng orange juice at ngumiti. "Really Good, parang homemade sya ha." pambiro ko.
He smiled. Then this guy over here is also a celebrity because of his sport.
It's really hard to believe.
"It's actually delivered by my family chef, I did the chicken earlier while he made the others."
I looked at him, shocked on what I heard. Alam kong meron silang personal chefs but him cooking something as delicious as this?
Did Manang or the Chef taught you?" I curiously asked.
Sumimsim din siya ng orange juice. "No, Mom did."
"Oh." Yun lang ang nasabi ko. I forgot what Tita K looks like, kahit yung pictures na nakita ko sa living room nila, hindi ko na maalala.
"Kasi dati noong tayo pa, you don't know how to cook so I thought by learning how to to it, I'll be the one who'll cook for our family." sabi niya pagkatapos uminom ng juice at inilapag ito sa lamesa.
I didn't know why it crossed his mind. I don't even know if he's serious right now!
God, give me strenght to improve my trust to other people. I don't know what to believe anymore.
"But it's before. I learned so I could live."
"Gamitin mo?"
"Pwede ba?" tanong niya pabalik.
I laughed, "Syempre naman."
I heard him strum it and a faint 'tsk' came out from his mouth.
