Sydnie's POV
"You can't save him," a voice hissed in my ear.I turned around to see the Governor standing there, an eyepatch covering his injured eye. I tried moving away from him but he grabbed my arm, making me cry out from his tight grip.
He pulled my back against his chest and my eyes widened at the sight in front of me. Daryl was on his knees, hands tied behind his back, blood dripping from his mouth. He looked up at me and I could see the pain in his eyes.
"Kill him," the Governor whispered in my ear.
I shook my head and tried struggling away from his grip. "I won't," I cried.
The Governor grabbed a pistol from his belt and forced it into my hand. "Then I'll make you." I tired struggling as he raised my arm, pointing the gun at Daryl, but my arms weren't working.
Daryl looked into my eyes and gave me a sad smile. "I love you." And then, I pulled the trigger.
"Sydnie wake up," I felt someone shaking me. I jumped up and pushed my back against the wall. My hair had fallen in front of my face, but through the curtain of hair, I could see Daryl looking at me worryingly.
I raised my hand and gently touched his face, letting out a sob when I felt it was actually him. "I killed you."
Daryl climbed on the bed beside me and pulled me to his chest. "It was just a dream," he whispered in my ear. I sobbed into his chest as I clutched onto his shirt.
I looked at the end of the bed and noticed Daryl had two bags packed, "are you going somewhere?"
"We're goin' somewhere," he smiled.
"Where?"
Daryl grabbed my hand and pulled me off the bed. "There's a gated community not too far from here. I asked Rick and he said we could go while him, Carl, and Michonne go on a different run."
He threw me a bag and I caught it in my hands. "I have to change first," I told him. He nodded and leaned agaisnt the wall, watching me. I glared at him, "get out."
"Uh, how bout no," he smirked. I rolled my eyes and started digging through my bag, picking out a pair of jeans and a black tank top. When I looked over my shoulder I saw Daryl still watching me. I chuckled when I took my shirt off and his eyes widened. I went to put my tanktop on, but was stopped when Daryl placed his hands on my hips, turning me to face him.
His eyes scanned my almost bare chest, "you're perfect." He whispered, staring into my eyes. I blushed and pushed him away gently, slipping my shirt and jeans on. I turned around and saw Daryl slipping his vest on over his sleeveless flannel shirt.
"Let's go," I said, grabbing my bag and throwing it over my shoulder. I walked out of the cell and noticed how dark it was in the cellblock, it had to be about five in the morning. "I'm going to go say bye to Glenn," I told Daryl. He nodded and went into the common room, probably to say goodbye to Merle.
I pulled back the blanket that hung over Glenn and Maggie's room and saw Glenn laying on the bottom bunk with Maggie in his arms. I crouched down beside him and shook his shoulder gently. He looked over his shoulder and gave me a tired smile, "hey sis."
"Hey," I whispered, making sure not to wake Maggie up. "Daryl and I are going on the run, I just wanted to see you before I left."
Glenn gently untangled Maggie's arms from around his waist and sat up on the edge of the bed. "You be safe, okay? I don't need to lose you."
I nodded and wrapped my arms around his next, hugging him close to my body. He nuzzled his face in my neck and sighed. "I love you," I said as I pulled away.
