Ever since Mia was born Queen Adria started to have some pain it took the king and queen a while to get pregnant and the journey was especially hard for Adria. So when she fell sick it was hard for her mate and her daughter to process.
It was bright and early in the morning and Val was doing her daily check-up on the Queen.
Hakim and Mia were waiting outside the den until Val was done checking up on the Queen.
(Val walks out of the royal den)
"Well, how is she"? Hakim asked
"Not good I'm afraid she's getting worse and worse by the day," Val said
"Dad, is Mom gonna be ok"? Mia said looking worried
"Oh Mia yes she's gonna be ok she's just very sick right now"
"Can I go see her?" Mia asked
"Of course, you can princess," Hakim said smiling at his daughter
(Mia runs into the den)
"Mom"! Mia cried out
"My sweet daughter," Adria said she was very weak she could barely stand up so she was laying on the floor
"Are you ok?" Mia asked
"I'm fine just really tried" Adria
(Hakim came up to his mate)
"How do you feel"? Hakim asked
"Not too good" Adria replied
"Val is there any way we can help heal the queen," Hakim asked
"I'm sorry I don't think so but"-
"But what"?
"I think there is a way"
"There's a flower called the healing flower they're extremely rare and they only grow at the Tree of Life"
"The Tree of Life," Mia asked
"Yes but if you were able to get them I think the queen has a chance of getting better" Val continued
"The Tree of Life I have an old friend there Sãhasí He should be able to help us," Hakim said
"Can I go with you?" Mia asked
"No princess the journey is too dangerous plus you have to stay here and watch your mother," Hakim said
"Let her go," Adira said
"I'm fine plus I'll have Val here to help me" she continued
But-
"No buts she's gonna have to learn there's more than just the Backlands out there"
(Hakim sighs)
"Fine you can come, Mia," Hakim said
"Yay"!
"Wait...How far is the Tree of Life"? Mia asked
"It's a long journey," Val said
"Wow, look at all the pretty paintings they point out where the Tree of Life is"? Mia asked
"Yes, young one" Val replied
"I want to see it all let's go, Daddy," Mia said eager to go
"Hold on sweetie we can't just leave right now," Hakim said
