13. More than just friends

Amine POV

Friday-the day Lara had a little breakdown at school- after school I messaged Lara and Celine almost the whole night hoping they'd respond but they didn't wich only made me worry more. I called Liam to distract me which to no one's surprise did help. After calling for an hour Liam decided to come over. When he arrived mom opened the door and let him in, she also told him I was in my room still worried about the girls, when he arrived in my room he just hugged me, he hugged me tight but not too tight. The hug lasted a few minutes but I wasn't complaining, it just felt right to be in his arms, when we hug we just connect like two puzzle pieces. Ugh I'm so inlove I don't want to just be friends any longer. When the hug ended we started talking, I planned on mentioning a "are you inlove with your bestfriend test" to maybe see if I actually have a chance. Some time goes by and I take the chance.

"Oh, I heard about this are you inlove with your bestfriend test, should we do it? Just for fun ofcourse!"
"Oh, ehm, sure!"

Liam's test results weren't show because he claimed to "accidentally" delete the tab after he saw the results. I did also hide my results but I got the reaction I needed to know if I have a chance.
I definitely do!

The way he looked so nervous when I brought it up, how he didn't even look at me while he was answering the test and was blushing! AND how he didn't show me the results. Also how at school and when we're hanging out he keeps staring at me with a very cute smile and blushing a bit.

So after a few minutes I decide to tell Liam that I'm part of the LGBTQIA+ community. Liam looked more happy than shocked so I just leaned in slowly...AND WE ACTUALLY KISSED!!
I KISSED LIAM!!

He kissed me back and our tongues started fighting. I pulled away before it got heated and saw that Liam was blushing A LOT. We sat there in silence for a few minutes until he started talking.

"So *cough* that was...unexpected?"
"Yeah...I'm sorry!"
"Hey! No, there's nothing to be sorry about! I actually kinda liked it" Liam whispers the last part a bit but I still heard him
"What was that?"i said playfully
"Nothing!" Liam starts blushing more which I didn't know was possible
"Glad you did" I smile
"Do you want to go to the ice-skating ring with me next saturday?"
"Sure!"
"LIAM YOUR MOM IS HERE TO PICK YOU UP!!" Mom screames from downstairs
"Alright then, talk to you later!"
"Yeah, see ya!"

When Liam left I couldn't sleep, I KISSED LIAM, MY BEST FRIEND!! How could I possibly be sleeping peacefully now? I'm never going to be able to sleep unless it's next to him!
Oh man how am I going to tell the girls this? It'll be fine if I don't say anything till Monday right?"

Amine fell asleep thinking about Liam while Liam was still progressing his bestfriend kissed him. He ends up staying up the whole night thinking about if he should ask Amine if he wants to be his boyfriend, when, the place and how...
