Jack's P.O.V

It had been disorienting going into one of Bunnymund's holes but, I had chalked it up to having a bit of a headache as the healing process began however if push comes to shove I would have no choice but, to leave the Warren temporarily so I didn't ice it over. When badly injured my magic goes haywire even with my staff in hand as I heal as it was some sort of defense from outside interference especially around those that wished harm.

I have tried to get it in control but, have had no luck and now I'm dealing with another magic ability out of nowhere though this one should be a little easier to manage and I could use this ability to fight if I can figure out what the trigger would be if my body wasn't currently healing.  Looks like I finally have a reason to use my training room in Santa Clausen North should be happy.

Bunnymund's p.o.v

When we landed in the Warren Jack seemed disoriented but, soon enough was on his feet though still wobbly from not being used to them yet. Honestly who would be? One moment your a human and the next a six and a half foot rabbit warrior. I'm not surprised he is still unstable on his feet and so I put one of his arms around my shoulder to help support him as we took tentive small steps at first before Jack asked if he could try on his own without support and I had agreed.

His first few steps were dicey as he fell but, when I had tried helping him get back on his feet he requested that I only helped if he couldn't get back up on his own and I had abided. After only ten minutes he was up and walking with minimal assistance and also seemed to have already worked on his new advanced hearing as his ears swivel as he hears the egglets and the warrior eggs moving about at the same time mine did.

"Your already acting like a proper pooka mate. I'm honestly impressed that you mastered the main functionality of it in about five hours if we count the practice at the pole. I'm proud of you." The look I got was one of surprise and then happiness as Jack acknowledged my compliment before giving me a sudden hug. I normally was not the hugging type but, frostbite's natural chill felt pleasant and reminded me of the Spring chill and dew on the grass.

It was weird to describe the embodiment of winter as that but, Jack wasn't exactly a normal individual especially when I considered his life had ended suddenly while saving another's life. Jack was selfless and was willing to end his own life to save others which reminded me of those summer and autumn spirits that hurt him just because he brought the final required season. Without winter several things would go out of balance and would confuse the animals that depend on the winter time to survive.

Normally in the winter months I try to stay in my Warren as it is usually too cold for me even with fur. The Christmas two years ago was an exception because of Pitch's attack. Honestly if it hadn't been for Jack's help in the battle we would of failed. Pitch had been stronger then ever at the time considering the surplus of children in this Era compared to the dark ages which Jack had actually been alive in. His desire to have fun and have snowball fights as well as teaching ice skating had shown what his center was far before everything happened.

He has experienced decades of events unseen and unheard that may include famine, wars, forest fires, and sicknesses though sense we basically ignored him we had little to no clues on everything he saw though he hid his fears well.

What currently mattered is that children can see him with no problem and he doesn't need his special snowflakes like he used with Jamie allowing the ankle biter to see him. Jack was very protective of Jamie and Sophie as well as their friends as they were his first believers and honestly we guardians have Jamie and sandy to thank for saving us from disappearing for good. When Jack was healed and the fire based spirits were dealt with maybe we could celebrate with the children of Burgess.

For now it was time for me and the others to help Jack get through this and I hoped for no complications. All of us had medical knowledge but none of us besides North dealt with arctic based creatures and humans considering North had been a renowned bandit in his human life and needed that knowledge to survive. As me and Jack continued moving forward he had asked if he could try running on all fours like I did though I was a bit weary about getting right to that and had asked if he was sure and his response was a rather tentive nod which showed he likely had some weariness about it.

I had told him he didn't need to go right to that if he wasn't ready but, he had gotten that all to familiar determined look and I mentally facepalmed realizing that I basically invited a challenge to the front of his mind. He had gone on all fours rather skillfully though it was a more relaxed posture then my own and he had closed his eyes which seemed weird until I relized he was listening for anything in the way of his path before opening them again and bolting forward as if he hadn't been injured at all.

He had taken several laps around the area we were in before stopping in front of me with a proud smile and was slightly panting from the run. I stood stunned before smiling and spoke "great job frostbite I am thoroughly impressed. How did you figure it out so fast?" His response was one I wasn't expecting though I soon felt happy.

Jack spoke saying "I remembered how you ran during our four way race when we were helping tooth with her collecting. You had challenged me to a race back then and honestly left me in the dust but, I was having fun and felt like I belonged there. To be honest I've had the most fun with you and the guardians as well as Jamie and his friends in the last two years then I have in my years of originally becoming jack Frost. I'm just glad I have someplace I belong instead of traveling aimlessly on wind trying to occupy myself when I'm not busy bringing winter to areas. Thank you for giving me a second chance Bunny."

Hearing all of that had made a unfamiliar feeling rise up before I hugged Jack close. Jack hugged back without issue and we stayed like that for awhile just enjoying each other's company.
