*Jack's p.o.v*

It was now evening in the pole however I wasn't able to get to sleep. Everything in me told me I needed to go and check back home to make sure everybody was okay even if I was currently not in the proper state to do so. I knew Jamie had gotten my gift to him when wind came back however when she arrived she had a feeling of unease when I coasted in her wind path around the pole temporarily before she returned me as I requested to be dropped off just long enough to get some supplies as I was going with her to burgess and despite her protest she did so. As I was traveling back she had told me in her own way about an unusual warmth that had set in around Burgess and upon hearing this I couldn't help but, get more concerned about what I was feeling earlier.

Our current enemy was of a fiery nature and clearly hated me for what I brought every year despite it being required to keep everything in balance and yet they seem to be bent on bringing about a warming unlike anything the other creatures on this planet were capable of handling and in turn possibly causing a mass kill count. This fact was concerning because us guardians are supposed to protect the kids and give them amazing childhoods as well as keep the adults safe even if they no longer see us. They had also once been kids that the guardians had watched grow up so I doubt the others would just ignore them during this situation.

Despite still healing I wasn't going to be able to sleep any longer unless I knew Jamie and the others were safe and so I got around and grabbed a small bag of supplies in case my injuries reopened as well as a snow globe in case I needed a quick escape. After that I left a note explaining that I was going to take a fly with the wind and planned on returning in about two hours and apologized in the note for taking one of north's snow globes as a precaution in case something were to happen and I needed a quick escape. After that I wrote if I wasn't back in two hours then they could send someone to look for me as I tended to lose track of time then signed the note with my name before leaving it on a shelf the others could reach but, not the elves. With that done I made my way to a window and waited for the wind to pick me up again and had requested she take me home then I was off.

*One Hour Later*

*Bunnymund's P.O.V*

Why was it so cold suddenly? North always had the heat on so it shouldn't be this cold. Even though I had dense fur and could usually handle a bit of cold the north pole was not exactly my ideal environment as it tended to be too cold for me to stay warm for any given time outside without heat especially with how sensitive my paws were and so it didn't surprise me the chill woke me up. As I got up and placed my paws on the ground I could feel that the floors actually had heating under them and then remembered north had installed heated floors for my room about five years ago which I was thankful for though I couldn't linger on that as I needed to figure out why it was cold.

As I made my way towards where I felt the cold was strongest I had taken a quick look around and found that one of the windows was open and went to shut it however as my mind woke up more I realized a key item was missing from the living room and then I looked to where jack had been asleep earlier and realized the chair was empty and that was when the pieces clicked. Jack had left and in turn that sent me into a deep sense of worry as the first thought that came to mind was that he had been taken though as I looked around there was no signs of a struggle and then there was the fact that anyone that knew jack also knew he needed his staff to use his powers and that would of more than likely had been left behind if he had been taken.

That fact calmed me just a little bit however after walking past the fireplace I spotted a white paper with Jack's messy writing and so I quietly read the note however that had been a mistake as I found myself getting worried again as Jack had wrote the time he had left the note and looking at the clock showed it had been a hour already and though the note said two hours I knew I should wake the others I was not going to sit idle for another hour  as I kept in mind jack was currently weakened and wouldn't stand a chance in winning if a fight broke out despite him taking one of north's globes as a precaution. Jack had an unknown amount of enemies and that scared me and so I was off to wake up the others. We were going to find jack.
