Coming To Light

Tigerclaw and Karai moved out from the shadows. They looked around.

"You said they were here" Karai complained.

Tigerclaw knew the smell of the turtles was still here.

"They are here, come out cubs" Tigerclaw taunted.

Slowly..the turtles came out from the shadows, but didn't move from their spots. They were in the light, but didn't get off the ceiling.

"Long time no see...brothers" Karai put emphasis on the last part.

"What do you want Karai?" Leo asked coldly.

"Just to talk" Karai replied casually.

"Do you really think we believe you? You're the princess of the footclan" Raph replied bitterly.

"I assure you, there are no tricks here" Tigerclaw added in.

"What makes you think we're gonna believe you any more than Princess Footclan?" Raph growled.

Both Karai and Tigerclaw dropped their weapons simultaneously.

"Dude that's not gonna-" Mikey started to say.

The four turtles watched as they took out every weapon they had and dropped them all on the ground.

"What about now?" Tigerclaw asked.

"What kind of orders did the Shredder give you?!" Donnie exclaimed.

"We have no orders. Master Shredder does not know we are here" Tigerclaw explained.

"You still could be lying- we have no reason to trust you" Leo mentioned.

"And we can't do anything about that, but we will say our cause and then take our leave" Tigerclaw explained.

Karai looked up as the turtles and started explaining the situation.

"Look, I know you have absolutely no reason to trust us, but we really want to stop obeying Shredder, he's not a good person, he's bringing innocent people into his stupid rivalry."

"We already know this, if that's all you have to say then, we're going to-"

"No! Wait please! Just... I want to meet my real family. Shredder might've raised and trained me, but he will never be my true father. I want to spend time with my brothers and find out what life is like for normal people. He never let me have a normal life, it was always about Hamato Yoshi, or how much he misses my mother. But I know for a fact, she never loved him. He was jealous of Hamato Yoshi, and her love for him."

"Are you done with your rant session princess? Because if so, we have things to do.." Raph rolled his eyes.

"Did you not hear what I just said? I want to be on your side. I need your help getting the Shredder off my back" Karai insisted.

Leo hesitated, he really wanted to believe that Karai was telling the truth, but he wasn't sure what to believe.

"We'll trust you. For now.." Leo said quietly.

"WHAT!?" Raph yelled. "Why are we trusting them?!"

"That's probably not the smartest option.." Donnie added.

"Dude! Did you forget that Shredhead raised Karai to kill us?!" Mikey exclaimed.

"They can be valuable allies. We can get more information about Shredder" Leo replied calmly.

"You better know what you're doing" Raph muttered angrily.

Truthfully, Leo had a bad feeling about it himself, but he pushed it aside, knowing that they could be useful.
