Your POV

Have you ever wished you had friends, but no matter how hard you try, you end up getting rejected? That has happened to me before. In fact it has happened more times than I could handle. I was on the verge on giving up until I found some friends who actually wanted to be around me.

Hello, my name is (Y/N) (L/N), and this is my story.

To begin with, I've always been rather shy and I have a hard time making friends. This has been a thing for me ever since I was a little kid. Most of my time is spent indoors, being lost in my own little world. As I got older, I got used to being like this, but on the other hand, my parents thinks that this isn't healthy for me, and I should make some friends.

I protested this countless times, but no matter how hard I try, my parents wouldn't listen to me, and send me outside to interact with the other kids.

As I was at the park, I looked and noticed there were some kids in the sandbox making a sandcastle. I wanted to go over there and join them, but there were several things running through my mind.

I began to make my way over towards them, and managed to say...

"I-Is it okay if I joined you?"

But one of the kids gave me a nasty look, came over to me, and said this...

"Why the hell should we invite a nervous whip like you to join us? This sandbox is full, so do yourself a favor and get lost..."

"Oh... ok..."

This has been a repeated process every time my parents take me to the park. The other kids would have a good time and play with each other, and I am left alone. My parents noticed this after a few weeks and decided to say something about it.

"We're sorry, (Y/N). We didn't realize that this was happening to you." My mother said.

"It's ok..." I said sadly. "I've gotten used to it at this point."

"We don't have to keep coming here anymore." My father suggested. "How about we go home, and we can do something as a family?"

Hearing that made me smile a little bit.

"Yeah... that sounds like a good idea."

And so, the three of us made our way home. I didn't want to go through this pain again, so I promise myself to avoid making friends as much as possible.
