Choi June

There's this annoying beeping in my ear.

It's truthfully making me angrier than I'd like. The annoying beeping wakes me up from my sleep, and it continues once I've woken up.

Eyes open, I look to my left to see hospital equipment. Am I in a hospital? Is that even allowed in the confinements of the mafia? Then, I look to my right and I see a person.

I blink a few more times, unsure of who this person is. My vision is still a bit blurry. They're in a chair. Sleeping. It looks awfully uncomfortable.

I bring my hand up to rub my eyes, but end up just wincing at the pain in my shoulder. It takes me a moment to realize where the pain comes from, and then I collapse onto the sheets as I replay the events from yesterday.

I don't remember much of what happened after I was stabbed. I'm pretty sure I passed out.

But as I stare at the dim lights above me, I have the sudden realization that I'm alive even after all of it. I shut my eyes and exhale a breath.

I'm so thankful.

And thirsty.

I roll my head against the pillow to look at the person sleeping on the chair to my right. After having blinked a few more times, I realize I know that hair anywhere. Long, black, and today, a bit messier than usual.

"Hey," I whisper. My voice comes out in a rasp. "Yoongi."

He doesn't budge.

"Yoongiiiii," I drag out.

I'm still so dizzy. Everything moves kind of slow, as if my vision is delayed. Maybe my mind is too. I don't even know right now.

"Ughhhh," I release a loud, frustrated groan, staring up at the ceiling.

Yoongi jerks in his seat, sitting up right away. "What's wrong? What is it?"

I laugh to myself. Oh god, why am I laughing? Am I okay? "I'm so thirsty."

He's on his feet right away, sighing as he walks over to the other side of the room. "God, Choi, you scared the shit out of me," he mutters. I can hear the sound of a faucet running and then the sound of his phone dialing a number.

I laugh again, whispering, "Poop," to myself like I'm some kid.

"She's awake," I hear Yoongi say as he walks back over to me. He hands me the water, helps me sit up a bit to drink it. "She looks fine." He pulls the phone away from his ear a bit. "Are you fine?" he asks me.

After drinking all of the water from the cup, I collapse back onto the bed and sigh at nothing. "Finest yes ever."

He brings the phone back to his ear. "Better come quick. Think she's lowkey having a seizure."
