I woke up not knowing where I was.  the place was dark and there was no windows. I tried remembering how i got here but my mind was a blur. all I remember was sleeping over at Nicks place. Nick! where is he? is he ok? I wanted to scream but my voice was hoarse and my throat was dry. then the door opened. in walked Nick. "good morning baby. how are you feeling?" "Nick where the f***k am I?" i half screeched, panic arising. "you really think my name is Nick? you don't remember me do you? the alley way? that night before you landed in hospital for months?"  "then what is your name? huh? and what the f***k am I doing here?" he looked at me with sympathy and turned his back to me as he walked towards a door i had not noticed earlier. "Nathan. my name is Nathan." and he left. later on during the day I was dragged into a bigger room with lots of girls and that's when the severity of the situation hit me. then I saw her. "Allison?" she looked at me and didn't even recognise me. had it not been for the butterfly tattoo on her back i would not have recognised her myself. then she smiled. "Ruth. you found me." she laughed and laughed till tears ran down her face and the laughter turned into sobs. I hugged her tight. "this place is hell. the police are in on this too by the way. it's like everyone is involved, no way out. they make us sell drugs and sell our bodies. they have pumped so much coke and heroine into us. those that can't work anymore are killed and we have to dispose of the body." I think at this point my body was in shock i was running on adrenaline. I just listened to her and felt helpless. it all made sense. why when I told the police about her abduction they did nothing and now they kidnapped me, the only other person who knew she was kidnapped...and Jace! I prayed vehemently that he was ohk. later on in the day we were given bread and water then we were all herded to a room where we started packing drugs and cooking the cocaine before packaging it. Allison taught me the ropes and I was going pretty well. the only way to survive this hellhole was to do your job and look the other way when one girl was getting raped or beat up by our captors.
