Jenny wasn't having a good day.
This morning, it seemed as if it was raining just to spite her. A light drizzle started from the false gray dawn, showering slowly over her head as she walked to school, as if the clouds were unsure whether they wanted to rain or not. A blanket of clouds covered up the sun, cold gusts of wind occasionally blew.
The dreary drizzle continued throughout the day, at times seeming to stop, briefly parting to let the sun through, before a new flurry of raindrops landed, sounding like a quick set of drumbeats as they plummeted from the sky.
Jenny walked home from school, no happier than when she had arrived. Rain still dripped from the clouds as she ambled gloomily along the concrete sidewalk on the path back to her house.
Normally, something as mundane as the weather would not have bothered her. But at the same time, Angela's actions troubled her to no end.
Why would she randomly mess with my story like that?
