Chapter 60

As the days passed and your pregnancy progressed, Jin became more and more possessive over you. The otter hybrid slept beside you every night with a hand on your growing stomach without fail. He allowed one mate on the other side of you but they still had to stay a certain distance away. During the day, he would be the one sitting beside you on the dining table and kept a close eye on you especially when guests were around. 

The other members of the inter-pack understood why Jin was so hellbent on being close to you although the younger members whined about not being able to cuddle you too often. You were quick to remind them that the pregnancy wouldn't last for much longer when they did pout. Since this was a hybrid pregnancy, Jieun let you know that they didn't last very long because hybrid babies developed faster than regular humans. 

Rather than spending nine months pregnant, you were only to carry the child for five. Another bonus for you was the fact that hybrid children were notorious for being born smaller and then growing up to regular size quickly. However, Jieun guessed that your baby might develop slower since you were human and not a hybrid which was still fine by you. By the third month of your pregnancy, your mates decided to throw a gender reveal/baby shower party. Jin wanted it earlier, but found that your friends were more available at a later date.

"Princess," Jin whispered in your ear while gently rubbing your stomach to wake you, "Let's get up. We have a party to get ready for,"

It was late in the morning when Jin came to the room to wake you up. Almost everyone was already up and decorating the house.

"Mmm don't wake the baby," was all you said while pushing his hand off.

"Come on princess, I'm sure our pup needs to eat breakfast," Jin crawled right next to you and kissed your shoulder.

"Later... 'mtired," you murmured. In fact, you were always tired these days. It wasn't your fault however. Since the baby was developing at a faster rate, it was taking most of your body's energy to help them. So for the past couple of weeks you were living on the cycle of eat and sleep which sounded nice except you wanted to do more than just lay in bed.

"Princess, I'll make you a nice breakfast if you get up with me," Jin cooed in your ear while snuggling closer.

"Jiiinnie," you whined, really not wanting to get up.

"Jin, just go away! I need sleep too. Leave us alone," Yoongi grumbled while pushing the otter's hands off of you and scooting closer. The cougar hybrid usually worked night shifts and didn't get home it late in the afternoon to sleep. He had luckily gotten the day off for the party and tried to sleep in with you. Jin let out a soft growl as Yoongi got too close for his liking.

"Jin, please...ten more minutes."

"Thirty," Yoongi corrected.

"Mm.. I'll give you fifteen more and then you both have to get up," Jin slipped out of bed, "I'll make some food in the meantime and Yoongi, you need to pick up the cake."

"Fine, fine just go away now," the cougar mumbled.

"Protect her,"

"Of course, it's my baby too," Yoongi said while pulling you closer to him to enjoy pressing himself against you for the first time in a while. Jin huffed and puffed while looking at the way Yoongi snuggled beside you. The otter knew that it was okay for Yoongi to do so since he was a mate, but his paternal instincts were very strong. Jin tapped his fingers against his thigh and shifted around in his spot as he debated whether to leave or hold you close to him. In the end, the need to be with you won and he pushed Yoongi away then sandwiched himself between the two of you.

"Mmm I can spare fifteen minutes too,"

"Hyuuuung let me cuddle her," Yoongi whined against the otter's shoulder.
