4. Chapter: Meeting R5

Ryland's POV:

~ After school

I waited with Rebekah at the gate of our school for Chi and Svenja. Rebekah looked a bit sad and I was wondering what upset her.

„Hey, are you okay?"

„Yeah, I'm fine. Just thinking", she answered but I didn't believe her.

„Come on, what's wrong? I can see that something's up. You can tell me", I tried to get her to talk because even though I'm not in love with her and just see her as a friend, actually best friend, I don't like seeing her sad and wanted to cheer her up.

She sighed. „It's just that my parents are leaving this evening and I won't see them for the next one and a half months."

„Do you wanna go home to see them instead of coming with us?"

„No, there's no point. They are at work and then they still need to pack. I wouldn't see them anyways.....I'll just go home at 5pm to say goodbye before they leave."

„Oh, okay." She seemed really sad so I hugged her and she smiled at me thankfully.

Just then Svenja and Chi came and we went to my house. When I opened the door five pairs of eyes were starring at us. Of course, Ross, Riker, Rydel, Rocky and Ratliff. I pushed them aside and went past them, telling the girls to follow me.

Ross' POV:

When we heard Ryland outside, we all ran to the door. When the door opened, we all stared at Ry and the three girls he brought with him. Especially one of the girls caught my eye. She was really cute, pretty and seemed a bit shy which made her even cuter. As she noticed that I was staring at her, she blushed and looked down. From Ry's description from the other night and the fact that she was wearing a R5 necklace it must have been Rebekah but I wasn't sure. Ry told the girls to follow him and they went into the living room and sat down. Us others also followed and also sat down. Ry introduced all of us to each other and kinda confirmed that the name of the girl I found cute was Rebekah. After that there was a short silence while we were all looking at each other. Rebekah and Svenja seemed like they were really excited and nearly freaked out but tried to hide it which made me smile and I could see Ry grinning too.

Ry broke the silence and asked us where mum and dad were.

„They're out shopping but should be back soon", Rydel told him.

„Okay....so what do we wanna do now?"

„How about we eat lunch first?", Rocky suggested while smirking and staring at the three girls.

„Uuuh, yes", Rebekah and Svenja screamed. We all started laughing which made both of them blush. Then Rebekah, Svenja and Rydel went into the kitchen.

„They are always hungry. You don't even have to ask them", Chi whispered to us before we also went in which made us laugh.

We looked for something we could eat but didn't really find anything for all of us.

„How about we order pizza?", I suggested and everybody agreed. After we had ordered our pizzas we were all still standing in the kitchen.

„Hey, why don't we play 'truth or dare' to get to know each other?", Delly asked and everyone agreed except for Chi and Svenja who were looking at Rebekah who also hadn't said anything yet. She seemed to get a bit pale but then also agreed. Chi and Svenja looked at Rebekah for a bit longer before also agreeing. Now I was wondering why they had done that. Everybody walked into the living room but I stopped Rebekah.

„Hey, are you okay? You got a bit pale when Delly asked to play the game"

„Uh...yeah, I'm fine." I could tell that she was lying.

„I can see that you're lying", I told her serious and she looked at me surprised.

„I....just don't wanna talk about it. Let's just go to the others", she said while walking to the door.

„Okay", I really wanted to know what was wrong but also didn't want her to get annoyed and leave. I followed her into the living room and also sat down.

„Who wants to start?", Riker asked and Rocky screamed which made us all laugh but Rebekah only smiled a bit. I really wanted to know what was wrong.

„Okay....Rebekah. Truth or dare?" She widened her eyes a bit in shock but caught herself fast. It seems like I'm the only one who noticed.

„Uhm....truth?"

„Okay, why did Chi and Svenja look at you when Delly asked to play this game and why did you get a bit pale?" You could see that Rebekah was really uncomfortable. I was curious if she would say anything now or if she would tell them the same thing she told me.

„I...don't really wanna talk about it if that's okay...", she replied. The others looked at her curious but seemed to understand.

„Yeah, that's fine. Your turn", Riker said before anyone could say anything against it.

„Okay, Rydel. Truth or dare?"

„First of all, please just call me Delly. All of you can just call me that. And I choose truth."

„What are your hobbies aside from music?"

Rydel answered and we continued playing for a while. In the beginning Rebekah seemed tense but soon loosened up. Just when Riker was about to give Rebekah a dare, she jumped up and ran to the door.

„Sorry but Chi we have to go. NOW!"

Chi and Svenja also jumped up and ran to the door.

„Sorry guys. We'll see you later." With that they all ran out.

„What was that about?", Ratliff said out loud what we were all wondering.

„I don't know. Rebekah looked at the clock and then jumped up", Delly said also wondering what had happened.

„Oh, it's five past five. Rebekah's parents are leaving in a little for one and a half months for Germany and she wanted to say goodbye before they leave", Ry told us. „Now mum didn't even get to meet them. Oh, well. Next time", he added. Then we all went to our rooms.
