Chapter 2-1: The First Hero Internships

  After the sleep over and the swimming session, we all headed home and I wanted to talk to Enji. Shoto sat with me. "Can I ask you something?" I asked.
  "Of course." Enji said, as Rei poured us some tea and we began to sip it.
  "Did...did my parents have another daughter?" I asked.
  Enji took a deep breath, he and Rei exchanging a look. "Yes, they had another daughter. She's 24, her name is Elarza Jareau. Her Quirk: Elemental Destruction. The direct opposite of your Elemental Creation Quirk. That's why her Quirk..." Enji began.
  "Has so many dark shapes and qualities?" I asked.

Present Mic VO: Elarza Jareau, a.k.a The Demoness. Quirk: Elemental Destruction! Elarza can destroy all of the elements: Air/Wind/Weather, Water/Blood, Earth/Stone/Metal/Sand, Fire/Magma/Lava, Lighting, Ice, Light, Darkness, Plasma, Gravity, Cosmic, Energy, Chakra, Nether, Aether, Nature/Natural Disasters, Space, Time, Sun, Moon, Life, and Death. She is able to use more evil methods of these elements as opposed to Jade and Jax who both use more good methods. There are a few drawbacks to this Quirk, 1) the more Elarza uses the Quirk, the darker she becomes, 2) cell ruptures like Jade and Jax, and 3) painful migraines that can last very long! This is another Quirk that you must be careful with!

  "Yes. Elarza was...a difficult girl to raise. Lilith and Jax had so much trouble. She would always be causing issues, bullying people. She admired villains, and she thought society was just bad. Eventually, your parents had to do the one thing every parent dreads: fight her. She went into hiding after they defeated her together. But both of them took heavy consequences." Enji said, giving me his hand.
  I grabbed it and used my time control to look at his memories and showed the entire household what had happened. "She's a monster." I said, in disbelief.
  Enji sighed. "Why the sudden interest?" Enji asked.
  I explained to him what the thug said last night. And he seemed to understand. We finished out the day and then went to bed. Next morning, we got showered and ready for school. Shoto driving us up there in his car.
When we got there, all of our names were on the board, and beside them was a number of pro heroes that wanted us interning. Shoto had the most, then Bakugo, and then me, and Kiri and Sero had a lot of requests too.
  "For those of you with multiple requests, I made a list. Make sure you pick one and send in the paper work by the end of the week." Mr. Aizawa said.
  I skimmed the list. "Wow...a lot of Pro Heroes want me." I said.
"Yeah." Shoto said.
"Are you going with your dad?" I asked.
"Yeah, I like working with my dad." Shoto said.
"I just don't know who to pick." I said.
"Well, you could always come with my dad. He'd love to have you." Shoto said.
"He's definitely a top contender, but...I dunno." I said.
"I get it." Shoto said.
We sat down at lunch, eating and I kept looking over the list. Who did I want to intern with? Hawks could be cool, Best Jeanist and Edgeshot too. Edgeshot is who Sero was interning with, but I really wanted to try for a female pro hero.

Kirishima was interning with Iron Tiger, the number 7 pro hero. Bakugo interned with Best Jeanist the number 4 pro hero, along with Alex. Sero interned with Edgeshot, the number 6 pro hero. Shoto with his dad the number 2 pro hero, Midoriya was interning with an older hero named Gran Torino. Bri and Daeva were interning with Ryukuu the number 10 pro hero, along with Momo and Kendo. Everyone had their picks.
I groaned, why is this hard? The choice should be easy! I should go with Enji or Hawks! It was almost the deadline! Fuck! I spotted a female pro, and a top one on my list. Scarlet Raven. She was the number 5 pro hero. I put in my paperwork finally, and it was all settled.
"Have fun at your internships, and good luck." Mr. Aizawa said.
  "Who did you guys decide on?" Alex asked.
"Scarlet Raven, she's based in Hosu downtown, so I'll be close to Shoto and Enji. She's also got an element-based Quirk. So, maybe she can teach me some things. Shoto's working on shaping his ice and fire into weapons or animals." I said.
"Scarlet Raven!? I heard her internships were just awful!" Bri exclaimed.
"Awful in the brutal sense of awful in the hard sense?" I asked.
"Brutal sense." Bri said.
"Well, I'll let you guys know if I survive or not." I said.
"Good luck JJ!" Daeva exclaimed.
"Don't die, ok!" Alex shouted, waving to me.
"Real encouraging guys, such a supportive crowd." I said, as I walked away.
I put in my AirPod Pros and took the subway to Hosu City. I got to the massively tall building that said: Raven Agency. "This is the place." I said, and I walked in.
The place was huge!! There were so many assistants and heroes and sidekicks. "Oh wow." I said.
"You must be Jade Jareau." The secretary said.
"Umm...yeah. That's...that's me." I said.
"Take the elevator up to the top floor and wait outside her office. She'll be with you shortly." The secretary said.
I bowed. "Thanks!" I exclaimed, and I to the elevator, putting my AirPod Pros back in as I went up to the top floor.
I walked out and sat in the hallway outside the office that said: Scarlet Raven on the name plaque. I kept listening to my music and texting Todoroki, mostly just casual flirting.
She walked out and I was in awe, she was even cooler in person. She looked like this:

Except, she had purple hair and a purple diamond on her forehead. She had on dark makeup and wore a red and blue ombré cape on her back with a dual pointed headpiece instead of the goggles.
"You must be my new intern, I don't usually take interns, let alone first years. But you, dear girl, you...are very special." She said.
I bowed to her. "I appreciate the opportunity Ms. Scarlet Raven, thank you so much." I said.
She smiled. "Come in, and change into your hero costume. We're gonna start right away." She said, and I nodded.
I walked in and got changed into my hero outfit. "Wow, you sure are a gorgeous girl." She said.
"Thanks." I said, smiling at her.
"Well, the agenda today is patrolling downtown Hosu for any trouble that may be about." Scarlet Raven said.
"Ok." I said, and we walked out and started walking.
"My methods of training are quite...erm... unconventional compared to other heroes. I do hope you can learn something useful." Scarlet Raven said.
"I will, I want to be a good hero." I said.
"Jade, why do you want to be a hero?" She asked.
"To protect people from people like Seraph who take advantage of innocent kids." I said, instinctively touching my left breast.
"Oh?" She asked. "That's such a selfless reason." Scarlet Raven said.
I smiled, and we immediately heard screaming and saw heroes scrambling to a massive fire that broke out.
I laid out a massive wave of water, putting out the fire entirely. "Truly amazing." Scarlet Raven said.
I dusted off my hands and we continued to patrol. But that night...was gonna be worse than I thought.
