Chapter 2-20: Two Heroes

Enji-
I woke up in the morning and summer break was here. I yawned, and got out of bed, rubbing the back of my neck. "Enji, you have something." Rei said.
"Hmm?" I asked, and I walked to her, wrapping my arms around her abdomen. "I don't care." I muttered, kissing her neck.
Rei chuckled. "Enji, I love you, but it's from I-Island. Shoto and Jade got stuff too." Rei said.
"I-Island?" I asked, and Rei nodded. I grabbed the envelope. "Dear Enji, Hi! It's been so long! But, I was wondering...dad has been working a lot lately and he could really use you to brighten up his day. Could you come to the I-Island Expo preview in a few days? It would mean the world to me and dad too! Bring Rei too! I wanna see her so badly! Thanks! Love always, Melissa Shield." I read, and I pulled out the invitations.
"Guess we're going to I-Island." I said.
"Oh! I'm so excited." Rei said.
"Me too. Hey kids! You both have mail!" I shouted, and they walked down.
Shoto sleepily and Jade confused. "Here." I said, and they took the letters.
"What is it?" Shoto asked.
"Don't know, why don't you open it." I said.
They opened the letters. "I-Island Expo tickets? We're invited to the preview?" Jade asked, pulling out not one, not two, but four tickets.
"You can invite three guests." I said.
"That's a no brainer, Alex, Daeva, and Bri." Jade said, and Shoto also pulled out two tickets.
"Guess I'll invite Sero." Shoto said.
"I wonder who else got invites to this preview?" I asked, and Shoto shrugged as he and Jade left to go give their tickets to the people they wanted to invite.
My phone rang. "Huh? All Might?" I asked, and I answered.
"Enji, that you?" He asked.
"Yeah Toshi, it's me...what's up?" I asked.
"Did you get two tickets to the I-Island expo preview?" Toshi asked.
"Yeah, you?" I asked.
"Yeah, it's a bit strange to me. I'm taking Young Midoriya but I won't be in my hero form since I can't." Toshi said.
I smiled. "You're still everyone's hero Toshi. It doesn't matter what you look like. I think bringing Midoriya is a good move. Shoto and Jade got invites too. Shoto is asking Sero and Jade got three extra tickets, so she's asking the girls." I said.
"Wow, I'm not surprised, but still. That's good." Toshinori said.
"Yeah, do you wanna carpool with Rei, the kids and I?" I asked.
"Sure, if it's not too much trouble." Toshi said.
"Are you kidding me? Of course it's no trouble, we'll pick you and Midoriya up." I said.
"Sounds good." Toshi said.
"Keigo is gonna meet us at the airport, or so he just texted me." I said, and we both laughed boisterously. "Ok, see you soon Toshi." I said.
"You too Enji. Thanks again." He said, and I nodded.
"Any time." I said, and we hung up.
"You're gonna have to break out a tux handsome." Rei said.
"Mmm-hmm, and you a dress beautiful." I said, pulling her in and kissing her lips.
"Eww, gross mom and dad do that elsewhere." Natsuo said, and we both laughed.

Shoto-
I went to the address Sero gave me. "Ok." I said, and I rang the door bell, pulling off my coat.
"Oh, hello Shoto." Aizawa said.
"Mr. Aizawa!?" I asked.
"Sero's a bit occupied at the moment, but you can come on in. I'll take your coat." He said, and I bowed and walked in, handing him my neatly folded jacket.
I took off my shoes and put them against the side of the wall and walked up to the floor of the entrance. "Your etiquette is really proper, but you don't need to worry about that." Aizawa said.
"Eh, sorry. My mom's side of the family is so picky about etiquette, so my dad made sure I knew the proper way to do things...he doesn't care and neither does my mom so my house is super casual, but everywhere else it can't be helped." I said, and Aizawa smiled.
"He's busy with Eri, she's grown really attached to him since he lost his Quirk saving her. She has since gained control of her horn and gave him his Quirk back. It took a while, but she did. Except now, she doesn't like it when he leaves. I don't know why and frankly I'm scared to ask. I know Sero had a shitty upcoming, I just hope it's not what I'm thinking." Aizawa said.
"Up! Up!" Eri exclaimed, and Sero chuckled picking her up.
"Oh, hey Shoto. I'd have dressed nicer if I knew you were coming." Sero said, walking down the stairs with no shoes or socks and his shirt off, his hair was braided too.
"Look papa! Sero let me braid his hair!" Eri exclaimed.
"I see that." Aizawa said, as Sero sat Eri down and she ran to Aizawa.
"Mama, I want mama." Eri said.
"Ok. We'll go see mom." Aizawa said, and they walked out.
"Come on up, sorry for the mess it's been hectic since I got back from the dorms." Sero said.
"Have you seen Jade's room? This is nothing." I said, and he chuckled as he slid open his door and put on his tank top.
"What's up?" Sero asked.
"Well, since I won the Sports Festival, I got I-Island Expo tickets to the preview and I wanted to ask you if you wanted to come with me as my guest." I said.
"Seriously? I would have though you'd have asked Bakugo or Kirishima to go. Or Jade." Sero said.
"Jade actually got invites and got four tickets. Bakugo also got invited since he came in 2nd at the sports festival and he invited Kirishima. But that doesn't matter, I wanted to ask you anyways without all the convenient stuff." I said.
"Wow dude, that really makes me feel good. Hell yeah, I'd love to go dude!" Sero exclaimed.
I smiled. "Sweet." I said.
Sero sighed. "I-Island expo, that's so cool. I'm stoked man, thank you." Sero said, as I handed him the invitation.
"How long have you been living with Aizawa?" I asked.
"Since the school year started. Nemuri was the one that found me after I escaped Overhaul at 15 years old. She brought me here and so now...I just stay here." Sero said.
"According to Aizawa, Eri is attached to you." I said.
Sero chuckled. "She and I...well we both suffered at Overhaul's hands. He used her for her Quirk every day. And he used me as his own personal punching bag, test dummy, and slave for 15 years so, yeah...she's attached." Sero said.
"Why haven't you told Aizawa what you told us?" I asked.
"I'm worried he'll treat me differently than everyone else. I imagine that's why you and Jade have yet to come clean to him about what happened to you two during the time you were both gone." Sero said.
"Good point. Oh, you're gonna need a suit." I said.
"Like a tux?" Sero asked, and I nodded. "Ok, thanks." Sero said.
"Great, we'll be by to pick you up tomorrow morning so we can fly there." I said.
  "Sounds good." Sero said. "And thanks again for inviting me, it really means the world to me." Sero said.
  I smiled and hugged him. He chuckled and hugged me back. He walked me out to the car and I waved to him, Aizawa, and Eri. I was taken back home.
  "Sometimes I forget...Sero's been through hell. He's always kind and smiling...but I know he hurts inside." I thought, clenching my fist and nodding.
