Chapter 2-4: Return to School

Jade-
I woke up in a serious amount of pain. "Hey! Hey! No! Stay put!" Shoto exclaimed, worriedly as he gently pushed me back into the bed.
I touched his cheek. "What happened?" I asked.
"It's a long story." He said.
I smiled. "I wanna hear all about it." I said, weakly, brushing my finger over his band aid on his left cheek.
He hugged me, and I wrapped my arms around him, burying my face into his chest and beginning to shake. He gently wrapped his arms around me. "What happened to you?" He asked.
"It's a long story." I whispered, barely audible, biting back the tears, my lips quivering.
I closed my eyes and the tears began to fall, I was getting his hospital gown all wet. He pulled me closer and I screamed out, crying. He gripped me even tighter.

Midoriya-
Iida and I looked at each other grimly. "I've never heard her cry like this." I said.
"Me either." Iida said.
"I feel bad for her." I said.
"Jade's...complicated. Her past is...messy. But she's my friend, our friend, I just wish we could help take away some of her pain, even if only for a moment." Iida said.
"Yeah." I said, empathically crying right along with her.
Iida pat my back, smiling, but I could see the small tears in his eyes.

Jade-
I finally calmed down, and laid on Shoto's chest as he gently glazed his finger across my shoulder, kissing the top of my head. "How'd you get cut?" I asked, turning to him and pinching his cheek.
"Fought the Hero Killer." Shoto said.
My face fell. "What?" I asked, sitting up.
"Hey, hey, it's ok. It's ok. I'm fine." Shoto whispered, rubbing my cheek.
"Iida went after Stain because of what happened to his brother Tensei, but he got a little more than he bargained for. Midoriya showed up and saved him, but...well then Midoriya got himself into trouble and dropped his location to the class chat. I was close by with my dad, and he told me to go help Midoriya and just be careful while he dealt with some Nomu reeking havoc across the city. I stepped in, and Stain drew blood to try and stop me, but I used my fire to protect myself. The three of us managed to deal with him, but eventually he kind of went nuts. The police took him away, and that was that. Now I'm here, with you." Shoto said, and I smiled, rubbing his cheek.
"Wow, sounds like an eventful night." I said.
He looked at me. "What happened to you Jade?" Shoto whispered, gently as he held me.
I bit my lip, and swiped my hand across the sky showing him what happened. I closed my eyes, and looked down. "I should have known I should have—" I began, tearing up again.
"No. No! This is NOT your fault Jade." Shoto said, pulling me into his chest and I just hugged him as I cried and he just comforted me.
I was finally able to sleep with him beside me as he held me close to him.

The next day, we got wrapped up and TC fixed us all the way up. I continued my internship with Enji and Shoto for the week and then it was back to school.
We were all talking about our internships, but the Hosu City ones were at the center of attention, but we just kind of kept to ourselves about it.

  Finals were getting closer and closer, it was honestly kinda terrifying. "Alright class, it's time to see what you've improved since internships last week. Put on your costumes, Jade...you're new one is at the support course's office, go there and meet us at the training grounds." Mr. Aizawa said, and I nodded as they all headed out.
  I walked to the support course and Hatsume gave me the case numbered 10. I smiled and reluctantly took it. I got changed into it, she had added the gauntlets I wanted to it and I thanked her for it. She nodded, and I walked to the training grounds. "Your new costume looks so manly!" Kirishima exclaimed.
  "It's the same thing, just some new gauntlets...that's it." I said.
  "Still!" Kirishima exclaimed.
  "You'll be training with All Might and I'll evaluate your new skills. It'll be a race in groups of four, and the first to All Might wins. Bakugo, Todoroki, Sero, Kirishima, you're up first." Mr. Aizawa said.
  "Oh dear lord." Bri said.
  "Yeah, this isn't gonna end well." Alex said.
  We went to the observation room and watched the four of them race. The four of them were literally all neck and neck. Sero was swinging with his tape, Todoroki was sliding with his ice and propelling himself forward with his fire, Bakugo was flying across the sky using explosions and Kirishima was sprinting beside them.
  "Wow, he's determined." Mina said.
  "Kirishima may not have a long-ranged Quirk, but he's impressive in his own right. And his obsession with gym definitely helps." Kaminari said.
  "I can't watch, please let me know when they make it to All Might safely." Bri said, hiding behind me.
  I smiled, a small chuckle. "Why'd you put the four most volatile people in one group?" Shinso asked.
  "They'll push each other to go even further than their own limitations." Mr. Aizawa said.
  It was a photo finish between the four, but Sero was the ultimate winner. He won by a single swing. Wild. "Midoriya, Kaminari, Shinso, Ojiro, your turn." Mr. Aizawa said, and they went.
  The four boys came back, pulling and shoving each other. I snapped and pushed them apart. "Keep fighting, and I'll turn you into shark food." I said.
  "Yes ma'am." They all said, and I released them.
  Daeva, Alex, Bri, and I were next. And I won, via using my space control. It still blew All Might's mind every time, but this time it seemed faster to travel.
The rest of the class went, and then we left Field Gamma to the locker rooms and began to shower and change.

Todoroki-
We were in the locker room, showering and getting changed. Once I finished showering, I tied a towel around my waist and draped one over my shoulders, drying my face and hair.
I exhaled and grabbed my neatly folded uniform. "Hey check this out." Mineta said, and we looked at him.
"What are you doing?" Bakugo asked.
"There's a peep hole...and it goes directly into the girls' locker room." Mineta said.
"What!?" Midoriya asked, turning bright red.
"Can you see anything?" Kaminari asked.
"I wonder what I'll see. Maybe Momo's breasts, or Mina's ass. Ooh, maybe Hagkure's floating undies!" He began, and then BAM!
He was blasted back and into the wall, and the hole closed. We all laughed. "That's what you get for being a pervert you little twerp!" Bakugo shouted.
"Jiro earphone jack blasted you." Kaminari said, laughing.
"And Jade closed the hole, thank goodness." Iida said.
I got changed and walked out. We all headed home, and Sero, myself, and the guys got on Overwatch to play.
We picked our characters and were on the same team. "I'm gonna ask Alex out, officially." Bakugo said.
"Oh, good for you Explosion Boy, you're getting somewhere." I said.
"GRR...SHUT UP ICY HOT!!!" Bakugo shouted.
"Must you antagonize him?" Sero asked.
I chuckled. "I can't help it, it's fun for me." I said, and Jade slapped my arm hard as she read a book. "Ouch, seriously?!" I exclaimed.
"Serves you right, HAHAHA!" Bakugo laughed, and he died and I snickered, Jade slapping my arm again.
"Would you stop that?" I asked her.
"Mmm...no." Jade said, turning the page.
I sighed, kissing the top of her head. "Anyone else got any news?" I asked.
"I think I'm gonna ask Daeva out. No idea what the hell we're gonna do, but we'll figure it out." Sero said.
"Tell him to take her to Kaumi Woods Bowling Alley and Arcade." Jade said.
"Hey Sero, Jade says you should take her to Kaumi Woods Bowling Alley and Arcade." I said.
"That actually sounds fun and then dinner." Sero said.
"Yeah." I said.
"I asked Bri to go out with me, I think we're gonna go to Mt. Lady Mall, grab coffee, shop, play mini golf, and visit the library." Kirishima said.
"Wow...that sounds perfect for Bri. You must really know her Kirishima." I said.
"I just listen, you guys should try it some time." Kirishima said, and we all chuckled.
"What about you?" Sero asked.
I looked at Jade, I wanted to ask her out...but I was still...unsure. Not about us, I knew we'd be great together, but I just wanted to be ready, and I mean really ready. And I wasn't yet. "Nah, I think I still need a little time to process my feelings. I don't want to ruin a good thing." I said.
"Fair enough." Sero said.
"So, uh, Bakugo. What are you and Alex doing?" I asked.
"There's a nerd convention in town, I'm taking her there to meet her favorite book authors and stuff. I bought the VIP passes. After that probably coffee at the Cat Café, a walk in the park, and then dinner and a movie. Then who knows, maybe some strip poker or something." Bakugo said.
"I'm impressed Bakugo, honestly. No shade." I said.
"Hmph!" He scoffed, as we played a bit more.
We all got off and my mom and dad were all dressed up. "Whoa, where are you two going?" I asked, shocked.
"Friday night." Mom said.
"Oh, date night. Right. You guys have fun." I said.
"There are leftovers in the fridge, Fuyumi is at one of her girlfriends houses tonight for a sleep over. It'll just be the two of you tonight. My credit card is on the kitchen island if you need anything." Dad said, kissing the top of Jade's head and rustling up my hair.
"We'll be back late. I love you kids." Mom said, kissing my cheek and hugging Jade.
"Bye Enji, bye Rei, have fun." Jade said.
"We will." Dad said, and they left.
Jade and I turned to each other. "Thai, Boba Tea, and a Halloween movie?" I asked.
"You know me so well." Jade said, as we showered and got dressed into our pajamas and glasses.
Jade wore a black crop top and black pajama shorts as her pajamas with black fuzzy socks and her wet red hair in a messy bun with her prescription glasses on.
I wore a white tank top, red, black, and blue plaid pajama bottoms, black and white fuzzy socks, and my prescription glasses. I grabbed my huge Jotaro Kujo Part 4 and Star Platinum Part 4 fuzzy blanket, wrapping it around Jade and I as we cuddled together and Buddy jumped onto her lap, curling into her and she and I pet him as we got Thai take-out and boba tea. We watched The Nightmare Before Christmas and I had her pulled into my side.
She had her head resting on my chest and her knees pulled deep into her body, cuddling extremely close to me. I had my arm around her, holding her hand and my cheek laid on the top of her head, occasionally kissing the top of her head. We played some charades and then we went to bed together on the couch.
