A hand suddenly covered my mouth, stopping me from screaming. Panic filled me as I tried to fight back, but my strength was fading fast.

I smelled something sharp and strange. It made my head feel heavy and my body weak. Another hand covered my eyes, leaving me in darkness. My heart raced, but I couldn’t move properly anymore.

Desperately, I reached out blindly, my fingers brushing against Daniel's arm. Relief flickered for a split second—he was right there. He’d help me.

But he didn’t.

He just stood there, doing nothing.

My hand slipped from his arm as my body grew weaker.

I heard faint voices around me, maybe even laughter, but I couldn’t understand the words. Then there was silence.

The world felt like it was spinning. I tried to fight it, but I couldn’t. Everything went black.

Was this a plan of Daniel? But wy would he do that?

After a while, The grip on my mouth and arm loosened, and I found myself stumbling into a dimly lit room. My heart pounded in my chest as my eyes tried to adjust to the darkness, but there was something more chilling than the lack of light. I froze when I saw him standing there—Daniel.

He was leaning against the wall, his posture stiff, his expression unreadable. But there was something dangerous in the air, something I hadn’t noticed before. The way he looked at me, the tension in his body—it was all wrong.

He took a step toward me, his voice low and cold. “Where’s Aiden?”

I blinked, completely thrown off guard by the question. Aiden? What was he talking about? I don't know where Aiden is..

“What...what are you talking about?” I managed to say, my voice shaky from fear and confusion.

Daniel’s eyes darkened. "Don’t lie to me. I know you know it. Answer me!" His voice had shifted—sharp and demanding.

I stayed silent, my mind racing, trying to make sense of everything. I had no idea why he was looking for Aiden. But the more I stayed quiet, the angrier he seemed to get.

Suddenly, without warning, he struck me across the face. The force of it sent me stumbling backward, my knees buckling as I hit the cold, hard floor. Pain shot through my face, but I barely had time to register it before Daniel was looming over me, his expression cold and fierce.

Answer me,” he demanded, bending down so that his face was inches from mine. I could see the rage in his eyes, but the confusion still gripped me.

I could barely speak, my mind still trying to process everything that had happened. "I...I don’t know who Aiden is," I whispered, my voice trembling.

Daniel’s lips twisted into a cruel smile, his eyes narrowing. “You think I don’t know when someone’s lying to me? Tell me the truth, or I’ll make you regret it.”

I swallowed hard, the taste of fear rising in my throat. My thoughts were a mess, but I was certain of one thing: I had to get out of here. I couldn’t keep silent, but I wasn’t going to give him anything he could use against me, not when I had no idea what he was talking about.

"Please...I don’t know what you're talking about," I managed to choke out, my chest tight with panic.

He didn’t respond with words. Instead, he just grabbed me by the arm, yanking me up from the floor. My head spun, but I didn’t dare fight back. Not yet. My body was aching, but I wasn’t ready to give him the satisfaction of seeing me broken.
