Noah stood out of the class. He still can't stop laughing over the fact that Jacob just read that page. Oh god- it's gonna be so much fun.

The bell ringed as Maya quickly ran out of the class as she punched Noah on his face. "ow." he winced as she grab his collar and glared at him.

"noah, you suck so bad." she said as he smirked at her. "it's gonna be so much fun!" he said as he laughed.

She rolled her eyes. "no it's not gonna be fun, he might think that I'm interested in him when I'm not." she said and crossed her arms on her chest.

Noah smirked and suddenly his eyes went to her back. His expression's slowly changes from teasing to shocked and scared. He gulped.

"what's wrong Hun?" she asked as she turned her head to her back side and quickly covered her mouth.

Jacob Jesson. He was standing right behind her staring at her as she took a deep breathe and turned back facing him.

"how can I help you?" she asked as he stared at her with his cold eyes. He moved his hand through his hair as she stared at him.

"you- that page ball that you threw at him, I want to know something about it." he said and she gotta say. She's hearing his voice for the first time. She have heard him talking to the teachers but not so closely.

"why? Why do you want to know?" she asked as she crossed her arms on her chest. He took a deep breathe as he slid his hand into his uniform's pocket.

"cause it had my name in it." as soon as he said that, she cursed herself. Damn it. Why did that nerd guy had the same name as Jacob? It sucks.

"oh, come on." she spoke as she looked down and in a second she looked up as she stared into his eyes with her beautiful ones.

"im sorry Mr Jacob Jesson but you're not the only one that has the name Jacob in the world." she said as all of the students started staring at them.

She looked at the kids that were staring at them as she spoke. "what? Don't you guys have anything to do?" she said as the kids started doing their works.

"oh, I see." Jacob said as he took out his hand from his pocket and walked away the hall like nothing happened. She kinda roasted him but she didn't knew why he didn't say anything.

She sighed as Noah laughed loudly. "oh, girl? Girl! He is so interested in you that's why he came to talk to you I swear he never does to any girl." Noah said as he put his hand on her shoulder. She kicked his leg.

"oh, come on I don't think he is interested in me neither do I want him to be." she said as she stared at him leaving the hall with no expression on his face.

"i know he's kinda weird..but he matches you." Noah said as she rolled her eyes and looked at him. "what exactly do you mean Noah? Why are you trying to hard to get me in a relationship with him?" she said as he rolled his eyes.

"oh, come on! Let's stop this now ok?" he said as he grab her hand pulling her with him to the exit door of the school. They were walking to their home when Noah spoke.

"well, you really like...kissing guys who's name starts from Jacob." he said as she stopped at her place. She glared at him as he gulped.

"no, I was just kidding hehe." he said as she crossed her arms on her chest and spoke. "and you really like getting friend-zoned don't you?" she asked as he remembered the most embarrassing day of his life.

"ah come on Maya!" he said as he rolled his eyes. "stop with that Jacob shit or else I have the video." she said as he nodded his head quickly. They reached her home door as he waved goodbye at her.

She knocked on the door as the door was opened by one of her servants. She smiled at him. "hey uncle den." she bowed at him as he smiled and patted her back.

His expression took a sudden serious change as he came close to her ear and spoke. "your dad is not in a good mood today." he said as she nodded her head. she was scared. She doesn't like it when her father is mad at her or at anyone else. He's scary when he's angry.

She walked inside the house with slow and steady steps. She was about to reach her room when she heard her father shout as she shut her eyes tight.

"maya!" she sighed as she walked downstairs and saw her dad sitting in the drawing room as she bowed at him. "hey, dad." she said. She might sound not interested in greeting him. It wasn't her fault she just wanted to leave whenever he's angry she doesn't like to talk to him. He takes his anger out on her.

"sit here." he said with demanding voice as she slowly sat at the sofa beside him putting her backpack at the table. "so, dad how's work?" she asked as she noticed him closing his eyes and resting his head on the sofa.

"dad?" she slowly whispered as he spoke. "there is a company that's defeating us in everything. Our company was the best like a day ago and now they are taking over us. I tried to make up with them and told them to stop competing with us-" he took a pause as he sighed.

"but the company's CEO insulted me so bad. I feel miserable. I feel like I'm powerless." she slowly caressed her father's hand as she spoke. "dad don't worry." she said and took a pause before speaking.

"i read somewhere that we have to experience storms before enjoying peace and since that I had this thought in my head. No success comes with only good things. It can also come with failures cause failures teach us how to stand up on our own again." she said staring into his eyes. In some way, she knew it hit her father so hard.

"i'm glad." he said as she raised her eyebrow In confusion. "i have an incredible daughter." he said as a soft smile appeared on their faces as he softly hugged her. She hugged her dad softly. God knows how much she missed this.

Since her mother left the world he wouldn't pay attention to her. He was depressed and upset. He just wanted to be busy so he can forget the pain in his heart in some way, he forgot he had a daughter.

"im sorry." he said as tears formed in his eyes. She stared at her father with guilt. "dad-" before she could speak he cutted her off and spoke. "im sorry for not treating you good enough, you deserve better, Maya." he said as she smiled at him. She hugged him again as she spoke.

"no, i'm Maya betzan and I'm happy that I am." she said as she hugged his chest softly. He softly patted her back.
