TW: Slight mentions of death

No one's POV

Katianne jolted awake, sweat drenching her grey shirt. Her dyed blonde hair was tangled from how much she moved in her sleep from the nightmare, while her blue eyes were wide open in shock.

The blonde girl decided to stumble down the stairs to the common room, her head pounding as sweat aggressively dripped down her head. As her pale hand held her forehead, trying to ease the pain from her headache, she saw Draco; unexpectedly awake, reading a book.

"Katia?" He spoke, more of a question than a greeting. "Katia." He spoke again, sounding more alarmed this time; though in the Potter girl's ears, Draco's voice sounded a million miles away as his words echoed repeatedly.

Immediately, he set his book down, running up to Katianne. The blonde boy wrapped both of his arms around her, quickly leading her out of the common room, heading towards the hospital wing. "What's wrong?" Draco asked, his face painted with worry. "I- I- uhm-" was all Katianne managed to stammer out, as if her voice was caught in her throat.

"What's happened!?" Draco quizzed again, sounding more demanding this time; and yet again, the blonde girl couldn't respond. All of a sudden, the blonde pair bumped into Harry and Ron. "What's wrong with him?" The Malfoy boy spat out, noticing the raven haired boy's current state.

"He woke up like this and wouldn't tell me what happened." The redhead explained. "What are you doing with her?" Ron then asked, disgust laced in his voice. "Well I was the only one awake at the time- would you have rathered I've done nothing?" Draco snapped, but before the argument could continue, Professor McGonagall appeared.

"Why are you four out of bed?" The Professor asked, though her eyes landed on the Potter twins. "What happened?" She then questioned, her eyes wide with concern. Draco and Ron started explaining everything; Harry and Katianne still in their shocked state; leading to Professor McGonagall bringing the four teens to Professor Dumbledore.

After the Potter twins explained to the white haired Professor about what happened to Mr. Weasley in both of their nightmares, he called all of the Weasley's into his office. Draco was told to leave, but he insisted on staying, not wanting to go back until he was sure that Katianne's okay.

"In the dream, were you standing next to the victim... or looking down at the scene?" The headmaster questioned. "Neither it was like I- Professor, would you just tell me what's happening?" Harry requested, though Dumbledore ignored his plea by saying, "Everard, Arthur's on guard tonight. Make sure he's found the right people." to a moving painting.

"Sir-" Harry called out, but was cut off. "Phineas." Dumbledore started saying to another moving painting. "-You must go to your portrait at Grimmauld Place. Tell them Arthur Weasley is gravely injured... and his children will be arriving there soon by portkey." He finished saying. Then, someone else came into the room and started talking to the headmaster.

In a split second, both twins felt a surge of anger rush through their veins. It was as if someone had taken over their body; as if someone had controlled their head. All Katianne could see was red as frustration and annoyance clouded her brain. "Look at me!" She yelled out, her blood pounding in her ears; the speed of her heartbeat increasing by the second.

Silence filled the room, her heavy breathing being the only thing people could hear; Dumbledore turned around, shock masking his face. "What's happening to me?" She finally breathed out, fear replacing all of the anger; fear of what happened in her dream, fear of what might happen in the future; fear of what she might become.

Yet again, it was quiet; though it was broken by the familiar monotone voice of Professor Snape. "You wish to see me, headmaster?" The greasy haired man questioned as he silently entered the room. "Oh Severus, I'm afraid we can't wait; not even till the morning. Otherwise, we'll all be vulnerable." Dumbledore declared.

Katianne's POV

Sweat dripped off of my forehead; pants escaping my mouth. Snape dragged both Harry and I down the dark, eerie stairs to the potions classroom, sitting the both of us down while he walked around us.

"It appears there's a connection between the dark Lord's mind and the both of yours." The black haired Professor started saying in a deep, raspy voice. "Whether he is, as yet, aware of this connection is, for the moment, unclear. Pray he remains ignorant." He finished saying. "You mean, if he does know about it, then..." I spoke up, though paused for a second. "He'll be able to read our minds?" Harry finished saying in a questioning tone.

"Read it, control it... unhinge it." Snape answered. "In the past, it was often the Dark Lord's pleasure, to invade the minds of his victims; creating visions designed to torture them into madness. Only after extracting the last exquisite ounce of agony; only when he had them literally begging for death, would he finally... kill them." As those words slipped out of the Professor's mouth, I could feel shivers down my spine as fear finally clouded my brain.

"Used properly, the power of Occlumency will help shield you from access or influence. In these lessons, I will attempt to penetrate your mind. You will attempt to resist. Prepare yourselves." Snape then stated, pointing his wand at us. "Wait who are you-" I attempted in asking, though that was when I felt the spell hit me, "Legilimens!" being the last thing I heard.

I sat on the astronomy tower, talking to El after curfew like we always do. We recently helped the Weasley twins plan a prank; seeing the reactions of those poor first years really brought laughter to us.

I laid in bed reading a book before Draco dramatically entered, immediately starting to complain about his other Slytherin friends, and how 'clingy' they are; though I never stopped reading, well- until he snatched the book away from me before continuing his rant.

"You're an idiot." I muttered, jokingly slapping the back of Harry's head. "Ow." He groaned, rubbing the part where I hit. "It's not my fault these tasks are so hard." My twin complained, motioning to the homework. "Then how come I was able to do it?" I playfully quizzed. "I've been telling you, you're some sort of alien that fell on earth." He stated, while I rolled my eyes. "You seem more like an alien to me."

I knelt on the ground, crying over his dead body. Dumbledore was trying to figure out what was going on. Fudge was trying to transfer everyone's attention elsewhere. Mr. Diggory was wailing. Elliot was comforting me. Harry was unconscious. And I was just sobbing, looking at his pale skin, his lifeless grey eyes; and then I ran.

"Concentrate, Potter." Snape ordered, dragging me out of my 'mindread' state. My breathing was heavy, my heartbeat was faster than ever, the sweat from my nightmare multiplied now. "Your turn." The greasy haired Professor muttered before turning over to my twin, casting the spell on him. And let me tell you, that was a long night.
