The whole experience just felt surreal. We didn't interact much with the babies straight after birth, or I didn't anyway.

I held them both briefly and as soon as I was wheeled to recovery, I fell asleep with my little princess on my chest.

I knew Alfie had taken a photo of it, I just chose to ignore it.

I woke up in the morning to see I was still sleeping with my baby girl on my chest and Alfie feeding my boy on the rocking chair.

It just all feels like a dream, but then the pain of my lower region comes back and I remember it all again.

"Hey Mummy," Alfie whispered, burping our boy and then coming to sit on the end of the bed. "Guess who fell asleep with your sister." He was speaking to him and rocking him and forward.

"Want to swap?" Alfie asked. I nodded eagerly as we did a weird exchange thing with them and I held my prince.

He started grabbing fistfuls of my hair and I laughed. He was so cute. There was a light knock on the door, I looked up to see my Mum and Dad along with Alfie's Mum and Dad walking in.

"Well done," She smiled. "Can I hold him?"

I nodded and propped myself up in bed.

"He looks like Alfie when he was born," Amanda smiled as she bounced our little girl in her arms.

Alfie and I looked at eachother and nodded.

"He's, Patrick Benjamin Deyes," Alfie whispered, pointing to the baby in my Mums arms who she was now passing to my Dad.

"And she's Danielle Jessica Deyes," I smiled, planting a little kiss to her forehead.

"Although Summer Deyes was a strong contender," Alfie laughed, I giggled a little even Danielle squealed.

"Patrick and Danielle," Alfie's Dad nodded.

"They're gorgeous and perfect names," My Mum gasped.

"Congratulations you two," Alfie's Dad patted him on the shoulder and nodded at me.

"One thing," Alfie whispered, I look up at him and smiled.

"Alfie?" His Mum asked, smiling. Alfie nodded and looked at my Mum and Dad.

My mum stood covering her mouth while beaming.

Alfie got up off the bed, walked in front of me and bent down on one knee...
