They woke up to the sound of a door slamming on the floor beneath them. Seems Asahina and her friends just got back. Shuichi begrudgingly got out of bed and made his way to the kitchen. To his surprise Kaito was sleeping on the sofa whilst Kaede and Maki were making what he presumed was breakfast. Himiko didnt seem to be up yet.

"I didnt know you knew how to cook." Shuichi said.

"Well I cant actually," Kaede said with a chuckle, "Maki can though and shes teaching me."

"Alot of my training included having to provide for myself. It wasnt an intentional skill to learn." Maki said chiming in.

Then she set some pancakes on the table. Some bits were burnt but overall, it was edible. Apparently, the equipment wasn't the best so Maki will try to fix it later although she isn't sure on what to do. Then Himiko walked in.

"Are you ok Himiko?" Kaede asked. Himikos eyes were red. She had probably been crying. Maki hit Kaito as he was snoring to loud. He didnt wake up but he stopped snoring.

"When will we find the others? Will we find the others? What exactly did that game do!?" Himiko sniffled.

Kaede gestured for Himiko to come sit next to her on the couch and Himiko obliged. She started crying into Kaede's chest and started talking about the game. Kaede did her best to comfort her. It came as a surprise to hear about the game again. Nobody had seemed to say anything about it. You could say it wasn't intentional but that would be a lie.

"Lie? Now even that word is ruined for me..." Shuichi thought.

In truth, the game all lingered in the back of their minds no matter how hard they tried to get rid of the thought. Shuichi even resorted to shaking his head, but of course that did nothing. The atmosphere seemed to get moodier than before. That was until Kaede decided to speak.

"How about we go outside and search? We arent restricted here afterall I dont think..."

"Really!?" Himiko seemed to suddenly stop crying as she wiped her eyes. She immediately seemed more happy than before.

"Sure! You guys coming to?" Kaede asked.

"Sure. I'll leave a note and put Kaito back in his room." Maki said before dragging Kaito of the couch with a loud thud. Surprised he still isnt awake yet. As they left the room Shuichi nodded at Kaede in agreement.

As they all made their way out the building, they tried their best to stay quiet. They didnt want to disturb the people who had so graciously given them a place to stay. That would just be plain rude.

Outside it was still humid. It already started to bother them. Well except for Maki. But that was to be expected. The world around them looked as if it was beyond repair. But the future foundation had a plan right? Why else would they be allowed to stay otherwise? It still bothered Shuichi that he didnt know what happened. The others didnt seem to know either and none of them had tried to ask the future foundation, who were the people that gave them a place to stay. They didnt want to ask as they always seemed busy. There were other reasons but they were only small things like: not knowing how to start the conversation.

After a bit of walking, they came across a store. They all made their way inside. Although it was unlikely that they would find any, they really needed some water and food if they could get any. Maybe some supplies could have survived during whatever happened. As they made their way to the door, they heard voices. They all put their back up against the wall and Maki warned them all to stay still and to not make a sound. Maki made her way into the building. After a few seconds, the voices inside went silent. They couldn't see anything, so it was hard to guess what was happening.

After a few minutes Maki came out. She gestured for all of them to follow her inside. It was kinda nerve racking. Who exactly was inside? Why was nobody saying anything? Were they in danger?

Despite Shuichis negative thoughts, they were all obliterated once they stepped inside. Angie, Ryoma and Tenko stared back at them. It seemed at bit awkward between Angie and Tenko. They obviously hadnt gotten over what happened in the game, shown by Tenkos refusal to look at Angie. Himiko ran to both of them apologising. Tenko went up to Shuichi and started interrogating if he did anything to Himiko. Luckily, he was only kicked down once as Himiko assured her nothing happened.

Angie seemed to be making a sort of ritual circle out of their supplies they seemed to have. They obviously had diminished from whatever they had beforehand, proven by the half-eaten snacks and half drunken water. Maki went up to Ryoma and whispered an apology for what happened in the second trial. Ryoma seemed to accept it with a simple nod and apologised as well.

We should invite them to come with us. We can't leave them here. The conditions are too poor and its unsanitary. Would the future foundation even allow them to come? Might as well see.
