After the girl fell asleep, her brother tried to sneak out of her room, but before making sure his twin was sleeping comfortably. He looked at his sister one last time, before leaving her room, entering his own room.

He grabbed his phone and dialed a number. "Sungchan, bad timing right now." He said on the other line. "Hyung, I talked with Soul!" He said. There was silence for a while.
"Is she fine?" He then finally asked.

"Mhhm. Yeah... well... physically, she is fine and not hurt." He answered. "What do you mean?" He asked confused.

"Well... uhm... how do I say it?" "Sungchan! Spill it! What's wrong with her?" He asked, getting impatient and worried. "She is...w-well...r-right now... she is sad... and she is mad." He said.

The male on the other line, not saying anything, being confused. As if his brother sensed, what he was thinking, he added.

"A-At us... b-but mostly... at you." "W-What?" He stuttered, immediatly wanted to hit himself for stuttering. He can't hide it, but he feels hurt.

"She is frustrated that you left and never came back. Or called. She thinks you left us because you don't wanted to be a part of the family anymore. In fact she even said she hates you... You know, she lost the net that was preventing her from falling deeper. I might be her twin, but what she had with you, I can never replace that." He said.

Again, there was silence. "I-I..." was all Jaehyun could bring out of his mouth, not knowing how to react.

"I told her, that you are still looking over us, but I was not able to convince her. Auntie is also still worried, now even more than before because I was not home for these days...She is always calling around every hospital nearby. I don't know what to tell them anymore, hyung."

"Tell them nothing. Just.... stay with what we agreed with." He said, clearly trying to hold his tears back. "Hyung...." "mhhm?" He answered, voice breaking.

"She even mumbled to herself, she wished that she wouldn't had come back home today but got killed." Again silence. "She... told you about... what happened?" He asked.

"No. She really just mumbled it to herself. If I wouldn't have known, what she was talking about, I wouldn't had even understand what she said. It was too quiet to catch that" he answered.

"Should I tell hyung about it?" "No. No need to..." Jaehyun said sad. "But-" "Believe me, he knows about that..." Jaehyun interrupted him.

"Listen, Sungchan..... please... d-do me a favor. D-Don't leave her side. Stay with her and take c-care, she doesn't do stupid things again, okay?" He asked, his brother hearing his tears rolling down.

"Of course, hyung. I won't disappoint you again!" He said, feeling bad also for his brother. "Mhhmm... take care..." "you too, hyung!"  Then he ended the call.

Unknown to the young boy, his brother was not alone, listening to the conversation.

"You alright?" He asked after a short time of silence after the call ended. The meant boy, shook his head as no.

"How can I?!" He asked frustrated, grabbing his hair. "She hates me!" "She is not really hating you." He said. "No?!" He asked, looking up, the other boy in the eye, with tears in his own.

"You heard him! She thinks I left her! She even said it!" "She doesn't know why, Jaehyun, that is what you wanted! You take care of her, without her knowing. You don't want her to know, remember? It's all you can do." He tried to calm him down.

"But you are able to do more for your sister, hyung!" He yelled frustrated again. "Do you really compare your situation to mine? That is completly different. My sister grew up with this shit, knowing how to handle such situasions and able to understand this way better than yours! Now calm down and sit again!" He comanded.

Jaehyun looking out of the window of his room, before pulling away frustrated and let himself fall down on his bed again.

The other male looked at him intensely. When Jaehyun noticed, he looked up to his hyung, eyes showing perplexity. "You won't hurt her, right hyung?" "That depends on her and how much she spills" He said. "Hyung, please leave her alone! She didn't said anything about it!" "I know" he answered simply.

Jaehyun looked back to his knees. "Do you mind if I ask you something?" He asked. Jaehyun shaking his head no, signaling him to continue.

"You said to Sungchan he should make sure that she doesn't do something stupid again..." Jaehyun tensed up immediatly. "Listen, I know I said you should tell me everything when I ask for it, but you don't have to tell me, if you-" "she took sleeping pills." He interrupted. "Sorry?" He asked confused, not knowing if he understood correctly.

"She took sleeping pills. An overdose to be exact. Sungchan felt something was off. She was at home alone. Our cousin was with his friends, our aunt on a business trip. I was in charge to take care of them. Me and Sungchan were buying groceries to cook for the evening when he felt something was not right. When we arrived home, we looked for her. She was no where to be found. But.. the bathroom door was locked." He paused.

The other boy still listening. "We broke in the door. She layed there in the middle of the room surrounded by pills, her heartbeat being extremly low. I carried her to the car and Sungchan rang at our neigbours door, who drove to the hospital. The doctors said... we just came in time.... a few minutes later... and she might wouldn't...  had made it." He answered, recalling the memory of that night many years ago.

"We called our cousin immediatly, who came to the hospital with his friends as well. But we never told our aunt. She...." he lightly smiled, scoffing.

"Our aunt is as kindhearted as our mother, even tho she was my dads younger sister. Our aunt and our mom were really best friends. They were even worse than Chenle and Jisung!" He smiled, looking at his hyung, who was also smiling, thinking about the relationship of the two youngest, imagining how the two women must have been.

Jaehyun looked at his palms again before he continued to explain to his friend what happend in his past, that he was always scared to tell someone, especially him. Not because he didn't trusted him, but to protect his sister, since it is not only his past.

"Since that day, I became more protective about the three, especially about my sister. I became a troublemaker because of her, since I used to beat and attack everyone who came near my family and too close to my sister. She is everything I have left. She doesn't know, but she has so much from our mother. The eyes, the hair.... the heart and kindness and love, that she carries in it. She is not only precious to me, hyung."

He paused for a while. "I can't understand, why everyone was so rude towards her. She is a nice human and she deserves the world." He said, tears rolling down his cheeks again.

The older one doesn't know what to say anymore. He only listend what he told him. After it fell silent again, the older one decided to leave him alone for a while, so he can collect himself. He looked one last time to the boy, sitting on the bed, crying silently. Then he closed the door behind him.

"You told him?" His assistant asked. "No" he answered. "Hyung, he has a right to know." "I know, Doyoung. But not now. He is not in the state." "But-" He turned around, shutting him just by a stare.

"I will think of something. But not now, understand? It is not the time for that now."  "Yes, boss". With that he left his assistant in the hallway, entering his office.
