"Guys, I really should not go to school... Just let me go home!" she whined, her voice trembling. Her fingers tightened around the straps of her bag as though holding on to them would ancjhor her in place. The school gates loomed in front of her, tall and unwelcoming, and the chatter of students streaming past only made her chest feel tighter.
"Soul, you can't just skip school like that!" her cousin protested, lowering his voice so others would not hear. "Not without a good reason.. and Mom should have called the principle to inform him."
"Say I'm still sick! I'll go to the doc-" she started desperately, but her words were cut short
"No! Soulie, I know you are scared," he said softly, catching her eyes. "But you are not alone. We're all here for you. And Daehwi, I.N, Bic and Ryujin are with you in class. You've got a whole team around you. You don't have to face those idiots on your own. And once ou take your regular medicine again, it will be better again..."
"But they won't stop making fun of me for that..."
"You are not alone... Don't be scared..."
The girl let out a shaky sigh, as if every breath carried the weight of a storm. She stepped into the schoolyard where laughter, footsteps and snippets of gossip swirled together in a chaotic morning syphony, many students looking at her, while ponting and giggling at her, the laughter and gossip louder than anything else.
Her friends stayed close, forming a protective circle around her, but her twin lingered back at the gate, his eyes scanning the crowdwith quiet suspicion. His shadow stretched long across the pavement, reluctant to follow. After glancing around he pulled out his phone and texted his friends.
