There was silence in the room for a while, the sound of a shot ringing in the ears of the group.
The leader looked down at the girl, seeing how she fainted behind their youngest member, who flinched at the shot. In the last second, he was able to pull the gun away, shooting the ground, next to the girl.
Everyone was frozen in their spots, except for the girls older brother, who finally freed himself from the grib, because the others were to confused and shock about what had happened just a few seconds ago to keep holding the boy back.
Jaehyun ran to his sister, pushing his leader and friend away from her with force, so he fell against the couch. Jaehyun kneeled down, to check on his sister, panicked and crying.
"Take her away. Out of my sight, where she can't run away." He said, when he got his balance back.
Jaehyun death glared up at him. "You would deserve way worse than death for what you have done, Taeyong!" He said with pure anger in his voice.
"I didn't shot her! She only fainted. She is lucky Jisung stood up for her." He looked at the youngest, who's head hung low, shoulders high and eyes closed because he thought his leader shot him when he stepped infront of the girl he was about to shoot.
Taeyong only wanted to protect his family. It was his job as the leader. He only wanted the best for his members. He was splitted because she was an innocent after all, but one member was injured badly and everyone else was in danger, so he saw danger in her for his family.
He handled the situation by instinct that told him she will drag his members to the downfall. That she might work for someone undercover, spying or worse even for the same man, why Wonchan betrayed them.
"Hyung... that was really harsh." His assistant said, stepping next to him. The leader only watched the scene of his best friend, his youngest and the girl.
"It was necessary." "For whom?!" The assistant answered through gritted teeth. "For your safety." He answered, looking him straight into the eyes, before he turned to the three again.
"You are lucky, I could pull away, or else you would be dead by now..." he stepped next to the youngest, placing his hand on his shoulder. "Never sacrafice your life for a spy... it is danger for the family for a reason..." he whispered.
"Bring her somewhere else where she can't run away when she wakes up if we are asleep.... She is not allowed to leave this area, got it?" The leader ordered, then turned around, leaving the room, some of the boys followed him.
"We should bring her somewhere where she can rest." Jaehyun looked up at the oldest with a mad expression. The oldest smiled at him with sympathy, which made the mad expression of him fade away, before he picked her up.
"Sungchan, hey! What is wrong?" They heard Chenle say, everyone turned around to Sungchan, who was leaning against the front door, crying, breathing heavily and clearly being in pain.
Sungchan looked up at him, then to the living room, seeing Jaehyun and his twin. "She... is not well.... s-something is not right!" He said weak, looking at his best friend worried. Both looked behind Jaehyun, who carried the girl upstairs.
"We are going to prepare some snacks. The boys then can eat something before they go to bed and she can eat something when she wakes up to gain her strengh back" The chinese leader said, and some of the boys followed him into the kitchen.
"You two can also help us cook, so it is done earlier." The other added. The two young boys at the door, got up and followed them into the kitchen, to make dinner.
When Jaehyun entered his room, his roommate was on his bed with someone else, cuddling, talking and playing games. When they realized, the door opened. They went over, to help their friend.
"So that is her?" The younger one asked. "Yes, Mark. But she should rest... Doyoung hyung and Taeil hyung asked if we help preparing food." He said trying to fake a smile.
"We can also leave the room and sleep somewhere else!" "No, Jungwoo. That is not necessary. You are tired too and wanna sleep. It's already far after midnight!" "But that way, she really can rest and she isn't scared when she wakes up and sees one of us, who she doesn't know!" Jungwoo said with his natural cute smile.
Jeahyun chuckled. "You really are the best brothers!" He said, tousling their hair playfully with a smile. "Ahhh, hyung! Hajimaaaa!" Both whined whispering and pouting. When Jaehyun stopped, he looked at his sister, who was unconscious on his bed.
"Ouu!" Mark suddenly exclaimed, grabbing a blanket from Jungwoos bed and put it carefully over the fragile figure of the young girl.
"So she doesn't freeze!" He said, turning around to the two. "Then you also need to give her something she can cuddle with, she always cuddles something while sleeping." He said.
"No problem, hyung!" His roommate now exclaimed, taking his favourite plushie and carefully put it in the arms of the girl. The two hearts of the two young boys warmed at the sight.
"Hyung?" Mark said. "Hmm?" Jaehyun hummed. "I don't agree with hyungs action, but... he must had his reasons.... you know that too. Don't be too mad at him" He said. "Can't promise that, Mark... I really can't..." he said, turning around, leaving the room.
The two boys followed him but Mark stopped midway, seeing something on the ground. "Uhmm....hyung?" He said. The two boys stopped in their tracks.
"What is wrong?" Jungwoo asked, wondering. Mark pointed to the ground. The two boys followed his gaze, seeing some red spots on the ground.
They followed it's way, to find all few centimeters, from the floor to the bed the girl was laying in now.
They looked through the hallway, finding some more red spots on the ground. "Blood..." Jungwoo said. Immediatly, Jaehyun ran downstairs.
While that, Sungchan, Taeil, Doyoung and Kun are already in the kitchen preparing some food. Taeil was cooking rice, while Doyoung was roasting meat and Sungchan and Kun were cutting some vegetables.
"So, she is your twin? Do you mind if I ask how your sister is like? I am just curious." Taeil started a conversation.
"She.... is very adorable. And clever! She is a fighter. She went through tough times. In fact, we all did, but for her it is worse."
"Why?" Kun now asked too, looking up from the vegetables, the tall boy in the eyes. "She sometimes forgets things. It's like amnesia, but it is not amnesia. It's more a short time memory. Some days are worse than others. And other people used to take advantage of that, telling her things that never happend. Used her for stuff to do, like to do their homework. Sometimes she couldn't remember that she did that and I was mad. Some also think she is doing it to get attention of others or pity."
"Woah, that really sounds tough." Doyoung commented. "Really tough is, that she can't remember our parents at all. Nothing. Not how they looked like, not how they were, nor what they taughed us. I can remember some things, but I remember Jaehyun hyung taking care of us our whole life. He was the only one for Soul her whole life."
He sighed. "I still remember how she felt, when hyung suddenly disappeared... it took her weeks to remember that he left, and even months to accept, that he was no longer there. While that, our cousin, our aunt, me and our friends tried to be there for her as much as possible, and it got better with her memories as well." He smiled a bit.
"Your family is really close I see!" Kun said, smiling hurt. "You are family too, hyung! You all! Without you, life would be even tougher! And more boring!" He said, laughing, which made the other three laugh and smile as well.
They were glad, that Sungchan and Shotaro joined. They fitted so good in the group and they also take good care of each other and everyone else.
