The week had dragged to an end. Friday- the long awaited finish line.
"What a week!" Bic groaned. "I swear, if I see another textbook today, I'll scream! I'm so ready for the weekend!"
"I thought you had training, Bic?" The girl teased. "AhhhHHHHH, Ryujinnnn! Why would you say that out loud?" Bic groaned dramatically, clutching hiis head. Ryujin laughed, clearly entertained by his misery.
"Well, Woojin hyung and I wanted to work on a few new songs! What about you, Soul?" he asked.
"Soul?" Daehwi asked again when she didn't react- tilted his head.
"Huhu! Earth to Soul! You still with us?" Bic waved infront of her.
"Huhh? What?" she asked, startled from her thougts.
"What are your plans for the weekend?" Ryujin asked.
"Uhmm... I wanted to spend some time with my brother- now that he's back home." "Really? I thought we were planning a girls' weekend?"
"Huhh?"
"Wait- seriously? We talked about it on Monday!" Ryujin whined, but the mock annoyance quickly melted into a laugh.
"It's okay, Sweetheart! Sungchan has been gone for a while. You should spend time with him."
"You sure?"
"Of course," Ryujin grinned. "Just promise you won't forget our next girls' weekend, alright?"
The girl hummed in thoughts.
"Okay, Sweetheart... what is on your mind? You seem distracted."
"Why is Sungchan hanging out with that new group all the time?" she mumbled, loud enough for them to hear.
"What's wrong with them? They're nice guys," Ryujin said. "They even defended you- that's more than most people did."
"I know," Soul replied quietly, "but.... that's not it."
"Then what?"
"He just... acts like he's known them forever. It's weird, right?"
"Aish, girl! You're just jealous!" Ryujin teased.
"Actually, I have to agree with Soul..." Bic said thoughtfully.
"Of course you do..." Ryujin rolled her eyes in an annoyed manner.
"Yahh!" Bic pouted, crossing his arms.
"Ryujin! Bic! Enough already!" Daehwi said firmly.
The girl hesitated before speaking. "I don't really mind him being around them.... they're good people. And honestly, he deserves it- I just... sometimes feel like I'm the one keeüing him from having a normal life."
She sighed softly. "But it's strange. It's like he's known them forever. He's too comfortable already. I'm just worried they might be using him for something.."
"You're really cute, you know that, Soulie?" Daehwi said, wrapping an arm around her shoulders as they walked. She smiled, cheeks turning pink.
"Come on, guys. Let's survive this last day of school!" Daehwi cheered, and the group burst into laughter.

"Alright, class! Exercise books out!" the teacher called. "I'll write down a few questions on the board. You'll answer them, and afterward I'll swap your notebooks around so you can correct each other's answers. Let's start with..." he scanned his notes. "...maths."
The girl groand- actually, the whole class did. "I hate math...." Ryujin whispered behind her friend, making Soul laugh quietly.
"Do you remember what we did last time?" Jeongin turned in his seat, smiling at her.
Her mind went blank. She froze, panic flickering in her eyes. She wasn't even sure she remembered what their first subject that morning had been.
She had only just gone back to her regular medication after a short break because of her cold. It always took a few days until her body adjust again- those days in between were the hardest. Her thoughts felt foggy, her focus slippery.
