It had been a couple days since my dinner with Steve. I was sitting behind the nurses station filling out some charts I had just seen the patients on when Nat came walking up with a couple charts.
"How much do you love me?" Nat asked and I groaned knowing she wanted something.
"It depends, why?" I questioned with a small laugh.
"I made notes on these charts but Bucky's here for lunch. Do you think you could fill all the notes in where they belong?" Nat asked and I nodded as she handed me the charts.
"Anything to let me sit down any longer, my feet are killing me." I said and she laughed.
"Yeah you have been working a lot lately." Nat said. I just shrugged as she walked away to go have lunch with Bucky. I continued working on charts. I was in zone when I heard someone clear their throat that was standing at the counter. I looked up and smiled.
"Hey, what are you doing here?" I questioned.
"Nothing was just on my lunch break and was hoping I could come see you." Steve said and I smiled.
"Well I would love that honestly I would but Bucky and Nat are in the cafeteria having lunch together as well." I said and Steve groaned.
"Well what about the deli across the street?" Steve asked and I smiled knowing how much I loved that place.
"Yeah sounds good." I said standing up. Steve and I walked to the main entrance of the hospital. As we walked out of the hospital he grabbed my hand and I didn't do anything but smile. Once we were at the deli we found a table and sat down.
"So how's work?" I asked Steve after we ordered.
"Oh it's slow today. We have our city inspectors coming in so everyone is on edge." Steve said and I nodded.
"Yeah we had ours in a couple weeks ago and it was insane." I said.
"Yeah but that's why Bucky and I were able to leave for lunch since we are the veterans we get to leave while the inspectors were in so they could check out the new guys." Steve said with a smile.
"Nice." I said as the waitress brought us our drinks.
"So what is your schedule like this weekend?" Steve asked.
"Well I work the next two days and then I am off Friday through Monday and don't go back until Tuesday." I said and Steve smiled.
"Well I say we plan something for this weekend because I'm actually off as well all weekend." Steve said and I nodded.
"For sure. You have anything in mind already?" I questioned.
"No sadly not off the top of my head but I will definitely think of something." Steve said and I smiled.

An hour later Steve was walking me to the main entrance of the hospital but not going to go in in fear of seeing Bucky or Nat and blowing this whole thing. Before I could walk in Steve grabbed my arm.
"So does this count as our second date?" Steve questioned.
"I think so." I said. Steve leaned in to kiss my cheek again but I turned my head thinking I heard someone call my name and he caught my lips. We didn't break apart right away, I felt Steve place his hands on my hips holding me to him and I rested my hands on his upper arms.
"Sorry." Steve said quickly once we broke apart. I stayed in his grip for a minute until he let me go.
"No it's fine, I didn't mind." I said, Steve smiled and leaned in again for another short kiss.
"I better go." I said once we broke apart.
"Yeah me too. I will call you tonight." Steve said and I nodded and headed into the hospital. I was still smiling by the time I reached the nurses station and saw Nat sitting there.
"Well you obviously has a good lunch." Nat said with a smile laugh.
"I did thank you. That deli across the street is amazing." I said and Nat just shook her head.
"Who did you go with?" Nat asked and I shook my head.
"No one, why?" I questioned her.
"Well you are blushing and can't stop smiling. So who was he?" Nat asked assuming instantly. She wasn't wrong but I couldn't tell her, not just yet.
"No one geez. Maybe my cheeks are red because I walked there and back and maybe I'm smiling because I had a good lunch." I said and Nat groaned as I sat down to finish charts.
"Fine don't tell me." Nat said taking a couple charts I finished and left. I just shook my head and continued working knowing this weekend with Steve was going to be so much fun.
