Once we both caught out breath and were back to normal we got dressed and headed back to the kitchen.
"I hope the food I brought over is still good." Steve said.
"Me too, but someone had to put the smooth moves on me so who knows." I said with a laugh.
"I didn't hear you complaining." Steve said and kissed my cheek as he passed me to get the bag of food from the counter. "It's all still warm." Steve said and I was happy. I was starving. I grabbed the plates and glasses off of the counter where Steve had set them and we walked to the table.
"This night is perfect." I said.
"Not just because of what just happened right?" Steve asked and we both gave a small laugh.
"No not just that, everything about tonight. Steve, I have never felt this way about anyone in a long time and I'm thankful I have that feeling with you." I said and Jensen leaned over and kissed me.
"I feel the same way. Gemma I'm so thankful that it didn't work out between you and Sam. I feel like him getting that promotion was a blessing in disguise for both of us. Ever since you and I have been together I have been ten times happier, I started thinking the other day about my life before I met you and I can never remember being this happy. You did that to me and made me that happy. I love you Gemma." Steve said and I felt tears fill my eyes.
"I love you too." I said.
"I'm happy you said that because what I'm about to do is insane but I feel like you are just as insane as I am and totally would understand...-" Steve started to say and I just looked oddly at him.
"Steve, what are you talking about?" I questioned.
"Gemma I feel like you and I being together was destined but it had to be at the right place and time. I love you more than anything else I ever could have imagined. Gemma, will you marry me?" Steve asked pulling a diamond ring out from his pocket. I just sat there in shock unsure of what was going on or even what my answer should be.

A couple days later I hadn't seen Steve since our dinner that night due to him being at the firehouse for a week. I was sitting in my room wrapped in a towel after taking a shower when my cellphone went off.
"Hello?" I questioned not looking at who it was.
"Hey fiancé." I heard Steve's voice say. I smiled.
"Steve, I haven't fully accepted your proposal yet and you promised to give me time." I said and I heard him sigh.
"I know I did but I just wanted you to hear how good it sounded to say fiancé." Steve said and I had to admit that it did make me giddy and make me smile.
"It does sound amazing but please give me just a little more time." I said.
"I will give you as much time as you want." Steve said and I smiled. I then got to thinking.
"Oh my god were you around anyone or someone in particular when you said that word?" I questioned knowing Bucky was working with him.
"No Nat is here visiting Bucky for family day so they are off somewhere else. Which brings me to why I'm calling, I thought you were coming to visit me today?" Steve asked and I smiled as I walked to my dresser and started to get clothes out. Family day at the station was when they usually had all the fireman on staff for more than 3 days they let family come and visit and hang out. I was so happy to be included.
"Well if you must know the truth I was in the middle of getting ready when you called." I said.
"So when do you think you will be here?" Steve asked.
"Probably in about 20 minutes. I just have to get dressed." I said and Steve sighed.
"And do your make up." Steve said and I shook my head slightly.
"Already done, did it once I got out of the shower." I said.
"Perfect, I will see you soon." Steve said.
"Yeah, do you want to stop and get dinner?" I questioned.
"Yeah if you wouldn't mind, I will call and order some pizzas from Joe's place just pick it up on your way." Steve said and I nodded.
"Okay so give me like a half an hour and I will be there." I said.
"Okay call when you are in the parking lot, I will come out and help you." Steve said.
"Okay I love you." I said.
"Love you too." Steve said and we hung up.

I pulled into the parking lot and was surprised to see Steve already waiting there for me. I smiled. I hurried out of the car and he met me at my door. Once out of the door and it was closed I was attacked with a passionate kiss.
"Miss me much?" I questioned once we broke apart.
"You have no idea." Steve said and I smiled. We went to the passenger side and Jensen grabbed all of the pizza boxes. We started to walk into the fire station and everyone started to say hi to me which I replied to them back. Steve and I walked into the kitchen and eating area and set the pizzas down.
"Stark, this is Gemma you haven't got to meet yet." Steve said to the one of the fire fighters.
"Hey I'm Tony, this is my wife Pepper and our newest addition Morgan." Tony introduced everyone and I saw his wife holding a baby.
"Well nice to meet all of you and she is adorable." I said looking at Morgan.
"Would you like to hold her?" Andrea asked and I nodded vigorously as she handed her to me. I smiled as I held her.
"You look good with a baby." Steve whispered in my ear and I smiled.
"I want one." I whispered back and he just looked at me.
"Really?" Steve asked and I smiled.
"Yes." I said and Steve just looked at me inquisitively.
"Yes? Like yes, yes?" Steve asked and I smiled.
"Possibly." I said and Steve just looked at me.
"She is gorgeous." I said and handed Morgan back To Pepper as she started to get a little fussy.
"And you two make a cute couple." Pepper said back and I smiled at her.
"Thank you." I said as Steve grabbed my hand.
"Excuse us." Steve said as pulled me away into the back bedroom area.
"You said yes, did you mean yes to my proposal or yes to wanting a baby?" Steve asked.
"Well Steve yes of course I want a baby, as far as the other thing...-" I said and pulled the diamond ring out of my pocket. Steve let me keep it after the proposal to help me think. I had become accustomed to carrying it around with me everywhere in case I ever just decided to accept out of the blue. Steve took it from me.
"Ask me again." I said smiling. Steve took a deep breath.
"Gemma, will you please ma...-" Steve started to say.
"Yes!" I exclaimed and Steve smiled. He put the ring on my finger and kissed me passionately.
"Why did you have to do this here?" Steve asked once we broke apart.
"Why?" I questioned.
"Because obviously I want to celebrate with you and have my way with you but I can't right now, not for about 4 more days." Steve said and then looked at the door to the bedroom area. "There is a lock on that door..." Steve trailed off and I laughed.
"Steve, no. Just think if we wait, just think of how amazing it will be." I said practically whispering in his ear which I knew would make him crazy.
"Why do you do that to me?" Steve asked and I smiled devilishly.
"Because I am your fiancé now and I can." I said as Steve passionately kissed me.
