She haunted him, day and night.
He couldn't see her but he could feel her as he walked about the city trying to clear his mind.

He would feel her presence beside him as he sat down on the sand as he arrived at the beach.
She loved this place, especially at night when you could see the stars for miles across the ocean's horizon.

He felt her stand in front of him, watching him as he stared out.

He loved her so much, she was his world but she haunted him, day and night.
He couldn't see her, because she died six months before.
But he could feel her.
He would always feel her.
