Strolling down the streets of Liyue, Zhongli pointed out a small tea shop on the corner of the street. Sitting down at a corner table sipping some tea, Zhongli stared quietly into the distance. As much as you wanted to know what was on his mind, you left it alone for the time being.

Eventually, the stoic man spoke. "Tell me about yourself Miss Y/N." Not thinking he was going to say anything to you, it took a minute for you to think. What did you want to tell him? Thoughts ran through your mind until you saw that he was staring at you once again. Zhongli had a tendency to do that around you.

"Well, as you know. I'm from Inazuma." You started off. "I've always been super into artifacts, so I made it my job to find them. As a kid I would run out into the yard and dig in the dirt until I found something." Thinking back on that, you laughed. "My parents hated it because I dug holes in their gardens. When I got older they got me equipment to go in the plains and dig around. They were good people." You sighed happily, taking a sip of your tea.

"They sound like good people, you're lucky to have parents that encouraged your hobbies. Those are hard to come by. How are they now?" He said, placing his cup down on the small plate.

You faced away from him, looking at the sunset in the horizon. "They died about a year or two ago from a rouge sickness in our village. We did everything we could do to save them, but it was their time to go. I wished they could've seen the end of the vision hunt decree." You sighed, imagining their faces beaming with joy. People could truly be themselves now, that was something your parents always wanted. That's what made them great.

"Ah yes, The vision hunt decree. I heard a lot about that from travelers." Zhongli said, sipping his tea a bit more. "I've noticed that you don't have a vision, is that something that you were born with, or did it get lost?" You shrugged, telling him that you were born with out one. "Strange." Zhongli muttered.

"I've always wondered how it would feel to have a vision though. Feeling all that pour surge through you must be exhilarating, but as I said before." You slumped back in your seat, tilting your head back. "I was born without one. So I'm nothing special." Zhongli made a 'tsk' with his tongue. "What." You said bluntly, tilting your head back to him. "Am I wrong?"

"Yes." He said harshly. "Everyone is special in their own way, even you Miss Y/N. You are a lot more special than you think." Feeling yourself blush, you told Zhongli to enjoy his tea. "Are you leaving?" A nod. "Shame, It was nice sitting here with you." Feeling your own heart ache, you sat back down. Zhongli gave you a warm smile.

'Damn him.' You thought, giving him the stink eye while he was looking away. "So what about you, is there anything I should know about you? Besides the obvious of course." Zhongli shook his head, saying that there wasn't much about him that was interesting. "Seriously? No fun archon stories?" You said in a hushed tone. Zhongli shook his head once again. If you would've known the geo archon was so boring, you wouldn't gone out to tea with him. It felt like you were eating at the table with one of the grandpas in Inazuma, but even they had more to talk about then him.

"What places have you visited since the boarders were opened?" You shrugged, saying that Liyue has been the first place you've been to.

"But I want to go to Sumeru. Thinking about relics just sitting there makes me want to go even more. I think when I'm done here, I'm going to go there next. Mondstadt is last on my list, something about that place just seems so boring to me." Your eyes basically shined as you talked about this, and Zhongli was hanging on to every word. He was enjoying seeing you so overjoyed about your passions.

"I've heard it's quite beautiful there." He said, as you imagined all the plants to dig through. "I feel like you would enjoy it there, hopefully you'll be able to go there. It would be an honor to be the first person to hear about your travels." Rolling your eyes, you chuckled and looked away bashfully. Did he really believe that you would make it there? "I've also heard there academy is very good as well, maybe you can study there." A scoff escaped past your lips.

"Sorry, it's just that." You paused. "I'm starting to think you see me to be more than what I am. I could never get to that school. My parents may of had a lot of money, but that school is for the pros. Plus, you barely know me." Zhongli took another sip of his tea. It was starting to infuriate you for some reason. How could he seem so unbothered?

Zhongli stood up from the table, walking down the steps and waiting for you at the bottom. "You are capable of things you don't even know exist my dear Y/N. Don't cut yourself short." Sighing, you got out of your seat and walked down the stairs, walking right past him. "I apologize if I overstepped my boundaries today. It's been a while since I've sat down with someone like that." You heard him say. Something about you couldn't just walk away from him. Just his existence was enough to keep drawing you near him.

Rubbing your temples, you turned around to face him. "It's okay. How about you take me on that tour to make up for it?" Zhongli started walking towards you, stopping once he was besides you. He held out his arm for you to hold on to.

"It would be my honor." He said. You slid your arm through his and started walking down the street.
