Zhongli walked around Liyue, his gaze wandering over to the stairs that lead up to your apartment. 'I should leave her alone.' He thinks, but his body denied his own thoughts. He had made his way up the stairs, hoping that you where home so he could speak to you. Zhongli arrived at the door, raising his hand up to knock and then seeing the note displayed across your door.
He grabbed the piece of paper off the door once again, scanning every word to make sure he read it right before. Zhongli hoped it was a new note, something saying that you were out looking for more artifacts.
How could of he have been so stupid? Of course you would leave after everything that went down, he would of done the same. "Dammit." He cursed, carefully hanging the note back on the door in case anyone else had decided to stop by. Zhongli had thought about going to Inazuma to see you again, but decided to stay in Liyue. That's where he belonged, and he knew that as well. Zhongli would never be able to adventure with you, he would only hold you back.
"I hope you're safe Y/N." He whispered, going down the stairs and back to his daily routine.

"Hey Y/N." Said a voice, a hand softly shaking your sleeping body. "We finally made it to Inazuma." You pushed away the hand and dug your face more into the pillow.
"We gotta get going Aether! The boat is going to take off soon!" Another voice pitched in, but it was higher pitched and more annoying.
"Y/N." Said the voice, it was more stern this time. "Wake up before I get some sea water and dump it on you." You sighed, stretching out on the comfy cot. You looked over your shoulder to see who was speaking with you. Golden eyes stared into your E/C ones, a soft smile gracing the mans face. "Morning sunshine."
"Aether?" You said while wiping your eyes. "What are you doing here?" What happened a few moments ago had left your memory. All that you remembered was waking up and seeing the traveler at your side with a smile on his face.
"I'm waking you up, come on." He said, grabbing your bags before you could even get up. You scrambled up off the cot and ran after him before he could get too far. It was too early for this many things to be going on.
As you walked out of the sleeping quarters, the all too familiar sight lay in front of you. Beautiful blue trees swayed in the wind while the fisherman sat on the piers with a fishing rod in hand. The men and woman laughed with each other wearing their Inazuman attire, carrying baskets with Inazuma specialties filled to the brim. You could already hear the children laughing as they ran up the stairs and into the town square.
"Are you coming?" Aether yelled, waving you to come down from the ship, his floating companion behind him, a hand on her hip. You could already hear her complaining from here. Before the boat left with you on it, you quickly made your way to Aether's side. A few people glanced at the two of you as he carried your things. Aether didn't seem to mind, he just seemed happy to have another person to talk to other than a floating child.
As you two walked beside each other, you noticed a light blue haired woman standing at one of the stalls. She seemed to be puzzled about some things displayed across the clothed table. "Ayaka!" You yelled out with joy. The girl whipped her head around, a bright smile on her face.
"Y/N!" She yelled back, abandoning the table and running up to you. "And traveler?" She said, giving Aether a confused glance.
"Don't forget about Paimon!" Said Paimon. She crossed her arms and looked away, a pouting expression on her face. "Everyone seems to be forgetting Paimon lately." She complained, shooting Aether a glare. The traveler gave Ayaka a soft smile and stood at your side.
"Did you two come on the same boat?" Ayaka questioned, ignoring Paimon's complaints.
"Yeah we did." You said. "We started talking and became friends I guess." How long ago was it when you last made a new friend. Childe came to mind, but he was more of acquaintance, then the geo archon came to mind. You shooed the thought of him out of your head and payed more attention to the people in front of you. Aether and Ayaka where talking away, ignoring you completely. 'Great, now I'm the third wheel.' You thought, rolling your eyes at the pair. "Hey traveler." You said. He turned his head around, giving you his attention. "May I have my things?"
Aether handed you his bag and went back to talking to Ayaka. Since you would most likely see her later, you had said your goodbyes and made your way to the Kamisato estate. It was a bit further away but it was a nice scenic route. You where glad that you had taken this adventure alone, it helped you clear your mind.
Soon enough you saw the huge walls of the estate, two guards perched at the entrance. Once they saw you approach, all they did was send you a nod, not doing or saying anything as you passed them. No one seemed to mention anything as you strolled to the doors that lead inside the building.
As you stood at the white doors, they slid open. A distinguished young gentleman stood at the doorway, his light blue hair slightly disarrayed as the mans normal attire was no where to be found. All he wore was a lose white button up shirt with an elegant pair of pants on. He smiled, looking down at you.
"I'm glad to see you Y/N." He said. Ayato's silky voice was like music to your ears.
A smirk made it's way to your face. "did you miss me Ayato?"
