Before you left for Inazuma you went to the plains and got some artifacts and then strolled down to the market. You made sure to take the back paths just in case Zhongli was out somewhere. There was a few artifacts that you were going to sell it get some extra money to spend in Inazuma. You normally went to the adventures guild to see Katheryne. She bought the artifacts that you had to give to adventures when they got back from their missions.

"Hey Katheryne!" You said, walking up the stairs and to the desk. The short woman stood there, bowing and saying her greeting. There was one of these buildings in every region of Teyvat and coincidentally every receptionist was named Katheryne as well. It was a little weird that they all looked the same as well, but you weren't one to judge.

"Ad Astra Abyssosque Y/N. Came here to sell more relics?" You happily nodded and dug through your bag, putting out four artifacts on the table. She picked them up and assessed them, turning them around to see what kind of damage was done to the relic. "I can give you 2000 mora for all of these." Your heart skipped a beat.

"2000? That's much more than last time!" You said, a little surprised by the price. Last time it was around 700 mora for all of them. What god did you please today to give you such luck?

Katheryne gave you a soft smile, putting the artifacts into separate piles. "Well. You are the sole provider for some of these. If we want more artifacts to come then we have to keep you happy, don't we?" You could feel yourself start to tear up. Hearing this made you extremely happy. You were finally getting somewhere with your job, and now you were making good money as well.

She put the full bag of mora on the table. You quickly snatched it up and said your thank you. "I'll make sure to come back with even more!" You yelled happily, running down the stairs. You let out a squeal of excitement. Things were finally looking up. You knew your parents were smiling down on you, and that made you want to continue doing what you do even more.

"Extra pair of clothes?" You looked inside your bag to see if they were there. "Check. How about some small tools..." you peeked inside the bag and saw the tools sitting in a bag on top of everything. "Cool." You smiled.

You threw on a coat and held the bag filled to the brim with your belongings close to your chest. A sigh made it past your lips. You were a bit nervous to be heading back to Inazuma so soon, but also happy because you were able to see your friends again. Not that you didn't have friends here, it's just that you only knew two people here you actually talk to. In Inazuma there was more people that you knew such as Ayato, Ayaka and the infamous Yae Miko. There a few others but you didn't know them that well.

Ayaka had sent a Inazuma pass just in case they would ask for one. She thought of everything to make sure there was no trouble in getting you back home for the few days.

You walked out of your apartment with your belongings in hand, closing the door and locking it. Good thing you had gotten that fixed before you left.

Walking down the streets of Liyue, you never realized how much you were actually going to miss this place, but right now you didn't want to think about that. Right now you were heading home to see your best friend, so who needs to think about other trivial things.

You walked over to the pier and went up to the boat. Handing the man your slip, he let you pass up the ramp and onto the boat. Inazuma was a days trip so you had made sure that you had things to keep you occupied such as your relic notebook and a couple of books about the history of Liyue.

You sat in one of the corners of the boat as the man called the last passengers up. A man with white hair a red streak boarded on the boat with a blonde man with a white floating figure following close behind. Peeking up, you remembered the blonde man. It was the Traveler, hero of Teyvat. Part of you wanted to talk to him but felt like you weren't worthy enough. He was a big strong hero and you were just a city girl who played in the dirt. "Oh well." You shrugged, opening up your notes and writing some things down. There was a couple of new artifacts that you never heard of before so you wanted to write down whatever you had remembered about them.

"Hey, what are you reading?" To your surprise, the traveler was standing right next to you, his companion floating behind him while giving you a curious glance.

"Oh. I'm just reading about Liyue." You gave him an awkward smile while holding up the book. He gave you a content nod and walked away, giving you a small wave. You watched as he talked to a couple of people and then went to go speak to the captain of the ship. She seemed to of laughed at a joke that he said.

Once again, you shrugged your shoulders and relaxed into the boxes in the far corner of the ship. Getting into a comfortable position, you sat on the boat and wrote notes down into your book until there was only the light of the lantern illuminated against the sheets of paper. You took that as a signal to go to sleep.

Just before you headed into the cabin area, the traveler known as Aether was standing alone, leaning against the rails of the ship. You pushed down all your nervousness and stood beside him. "Hey there." Wow, that sounded awkward.

"Hello." He said, giving you a warm smile. "What brings you over here?" Honestly, you had no idea. What did bring you over here?

"You looked a little lonely." You said, leaning on the railings with him. "And I'm lonely, so I thought 'hey! We could make each other less lonely!'" Aether chuckled, you noticed that his cheeks turned a light shade of pink. Did you just accidentally hit on him?

"I appreciate the thought. I was feeling a little lonely. What's your name?" He said, looking back out to see. "Also, what are you heading to Inazuma for?"

"I'm Y/N and I'm originally from Inazuma. I have a job up in Liyue but one of my close friends wanted me to come up and visit. What about you?" You said, picking at the wood on the railings. It felt awkward talking with Aether underneath the moonlight. You felt as if there was some unspoken tension surrounding you both.

"I got a quest to go to Inazuma for something's. Nothing special." You just nodded, now sitting in silence with each other.

"It was nice chatting with you, but I should head to sleep." You paused. "You should too. It seems like we both have big days tomorrow." You pushed yourself off the railing and started to walk away. "I hope to see you around! Maybe we can get some boba tea together."

"I hope to see you as well Y/N."
