Marinette stared at the big envelop for a couple of minutes, not sure if she was happy, exited or more angry than anything. Four years without any news and today of all days, Jason was sending her a letter, more like a book, if she looked at the number of pages was hidden in the package. She didn't understand, why now? Why not earlier?

When she saw his name on the last page, she felt all the hatred and pain she had put in her letters during all the years he ignored her and how he, like everybody else, had abandoned her. Marinette didn't have the mental strength, at the moment, to be pushed around again, she would not be able to resist an akuma, if this letter meant another person hated her.

She put the letter in her desk drawer and tried to forget about it, deciding on studying for the physics exam she had the next day. Tikki and the kwamis watching a movie on her computer and eating their snacks. They were her family, her friends and she liked it, but she really hoped that someday, she could be living a life with other human beings.

She hadn't slept in two days, because ShadowMoth had sent three akumas in the past two nights and Chat Noir was obviously blaming her for them. He thought she was the very reason everyone in Paris could be akumatized, he had started to believe Lila Rossi, of all people, who told during an interview with Alya, that Marinette and Ladybug were working with the supervillain. It hurt her to the core. Her parents had locked her balcony trap, windows and door, to make sure she would leave the house or be in contact with the heroes.

Chat Noir, her partner, with whom she fought for the last four years, thought she would hurt Paris and all its civilians. People in Paris were trying to arrest her, throwing rocks at her, insulting her and even kill her. She had to stop going out in fear of being attack, she would use Kaalki to go out of Paris and breakdown, when needed, which was daily recently. The school board had decided that she could continue her class online, so she could finish lycee the same year, this part being the best thing in all of this. She was now, way ahead in the curriculum and should be able to take her final exams in a week.

With Tikki and Wayzz, she had started to look at Universities she could go to and sent many applications, mostly in America. She wanted to leave Paris and go as far as possible to the city she killed herself to protect, the people she loved so much she gave herself up so many time, at the expense of her own health. Now she only had to make a plan to take down Gabriel Agreste and get the Miraculous back from him and Chat Noir and she could leave this place for ever.
