The correspondence started back and forth, for over a year. He helped her prepare for the last battle and to build a case file for the investigation against Gabriel Agreste, to give the police and the court, when it will all be over.

Not having the funds to leave Paris, Marinette had decided to do her University in her hometown, keeping quiet and almost invisible, only making a name of herself through her designs. LadyLove became a small business everyone was talking about and with the help of her classes and seminar, she was able to build her empire on her own.

They eventually exchanged phone numbers and started to text and call each other daily. They had decided to not do video calls, so they could keep their secret identities a little longer. He was there when she needed to cry or vent about her family. She was there to calm him down, when the Pits Madness became too strong for him to stop it alone. She had worked for months on the Magical Charm and when it was ready, she had used Kaalki to drop it, in a sealed envelope, in the BatCave.

When Damian came to live with the rest of the family, he had called her in panic, because the kid was trying to kill him. She had laughed so hard that she couldn't breathe and had almost wet her pants. He finally graduated college in English Literature and she finished her Baccalaureate in Fashion & Design, with a Business minor. The two friends were ready to live their life at the fullest.

Marinette had all the Miraculous and her name had been cleared when Lila was found guilty of working with Gabriel, during the reign of ShadowMoth. Ladybug had enough evidences to put them both in jail for life and it worked, she had tried to safe Emilie, but it was too late and Adrien had fled Paris, when she took his Miraculous back. Her parents had tried to apologized, but she couldn't forgive them, the betrayal was too big and she was still hurt by their actions and their words. She was still living above the bakery, but she tried to avoid them as much as possible.

She made sure to finish everything in Paris and left as soon as she could. Her bags and boxed were ready and her plane ticket purchase, only three days and she would be free to start fresh and to try to be happy again.
