Sorry, it's late, I have a lot going on lmao.

"Gabe?" Clem whispered in concern as she stepped into the dimly lit room.
The young man quickly wiped his tears and pulled himself together immediately, he didn't like people seeing him cry. Especially someone like her. How embarrassing.

"Hey Clem, what are you doing? Shouldn't you be asleep?" He asked quickly as he stood up in a panic, trying his best to keep his voice from cracking. But failing. He twiddled with the bottom of his jacket on either side of his waist.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Clem asked sympathetically as she turned her head to the side slightly.

And with that, his eyes welled up again, his breaths began to tremble and his shaky hands went to his head and through his long hair. Quickly pacing around as his heart pounded in his chest.

"Whoa whoa, Gabe relax. It's okay" Clem said to him calmly, grabbing onto his forearms to keep him in place, she could feel how much he was shaking. He was taking rapid and unstable breaths as Clem tried her best to keep him calm.

"I'm sorry...I-I'm sorry." He mumbled, and then sobbed, his head bowing down in embarrassment as he shook his head. Receiving flashbacks from his father.

"Real men don't cry, Gabriel! You need to man up!"

"B-But dad-"

"You better stop crying before I give you something to cry about!"

"Gabe!" Clem said a little bit firmer, her hands now his shoulders. Giving him a gentle shake to get him to look at her.
And he did, his head stayed down as his eyes looked up, they were red, bloodshot, and filled with tears. But they met the short woman's gaze.

"Why are you sorry?" She asked confused as she looked up slightly to see his face.

"I...I dunno. This?" Gabe somewhat answered, just as confused as her. Why was he sorry?

"Come on, sit down," Clem ordered gently as she walked him to his bed, her right arm guiding him as she rubbed his back slightly. He had calmed down slightly now but was still visibly very upset.
They finally sat down facing each other, Gabe sat rather awkwardly with legs dangling over the edge and his hands on his lap, and Clem sat with her right leg dangling and left leg sat bent on the bed as she always did. Her jeans hanging showed where her prosthetic leg was.

"What's going on?" She asked, rubbing the distressed boy's shoulder.

"Nothing... it's stupid." He mumbled as he twiddled with his thumbs.

"I've known you for nearly 5 years and have never seen you cry, and 5 seconds ago you were literally hyperventilating." She stated bluntly, he didn't say anything, he just continued to fiddle with his fingernails.

"It's clearly not 'nothing'." She stated again with quotations. But he still stayed still, staring blankly and bouncing his right leg.

"Gabe." She sighed as she pulled him towards her so they were face to face. But still. He stayed silent.

"You can talk to me. I'm your friend." She said clearly, clinging onto her best friend's shoulders in desperation for him to talk.
