Soulhee's Point of View

I'd never seen Jackson like this before.

Thank God I can drive now.

It was two in the morning when I woke up.

I looked around and went to the bathroom, still missing my own bed, my pajamas, and my parents. It's only been a week in the police station but I feel like it's been years since I saw my parents last.

I laid back down and tried to sleep in the cold empty room.

I wish Jackson would come again and sleep with me.

nOt iN a diRtY wAy thOuGh.

But I wish someone would hold me and say, "Everything's gonna be ok. You'll see your parents again."

Yeah, someday.

I'm doubtful now about seeing my parents. Maybe they'll never find me when I'm right here.

I woke up from the sound of cars rushing through the streets. I went to the bathroom to look at myself.

My face felt different. Like I was more mature somehow. But sometimes, I felt like I had a baby face still, and my parents would tease me about my face, playfully.

I started to tear up.

Maybe I'm just tired.

Tired of being homesick and scared.

I wanna go home so badly.

I know I shouldn't cry anymore but I just can't help myself from being scared and sad.

Then there was a knock on the door.

"Hey Soulhee, are you hungry?" Jackson asked.

"Yeah, hold on." I said and wiped my eyes.

"Are you feeling ok?" He asked gently.

"Yeah." I said and then practically broke down on the bed.

"Ok, I assume you're not so." He said and got into the room.

"What's going on?" He asked.

"I'm just tired of being scared and homesick. If only I was smarter, I would remember my address by now. I guess I'm not smart." I said and smiled sadly.

"Oh." Jackson said softly.

He didn't know what to say either.

"You said you didn't had a phone?" He asked.

"I did, but I think I don't have it." I said and again rummaged in the cubby.

"Oh my God, I found it!" I said and held my phone.

Jackson smiled.

"Ok, I will contact my mom first." I said and tapped on it.

But it wouldn't turn on.

"Uh, I think my phone's dead." I said frantically.

"What phone do you have?" He asked.

"An iphone." I said.

"Oh, I have an iphone charger."

I smiled and hugged him again.

I'm really going home.

"Ok, when it goes to twenty percent, I think you can have phone calls." Jackson said.

I smiled and nodded.

Twenty minutes later, I tapped on my phone.

Thirty eight percent charged.

I picked up my phone and dialed my mom's contact information.

Almost immediately, it picked up.

"Oh my God, Soulhee?" My mom's voice picked up.

"Yes, it's me." I said, my eyes beginning to water.

"Where are you right now?" She asked.

"Uh," I said and walked to Jackson, "what police station is this? Direction wise?" I asked Jackson.

"It's called the 'police station of Seoul.'" Jackson said.

"Thanks. It's called 'The police station of Seoul.'" I said.

"Ok," my mom sniffed, "we'll be right there." She said and hung up.

"Well, I'm glad I got to meet you." Jackson said and smiled at me.

"Can I give you a hug again?" I asked.

"Of course."

We embraced each other for a moment until there was a knock on the police station.

I smiled at Jackson and opened the door.

"I knew she was in here." A guy with tattoos in his arms and face said to me.

"Jackson!" I cried before he shot me in my stomach.

And then, everything went dark.
