Robin's a canon lesbian who likes Vickie, okay? just because robin 'hesitated' (which she didn't) when saying she and steve were just friends at the end of s3 does not mean she's bisexual and likes him. I promise, she was just embarrassed by how much of a dingus steve is. they are purely platonic and they have no romantic feelings for each other (I'm pretty sure steve doesn't like her anymore). i know the show set them up to be shipped on purpose, but that was just for the surprise factor of robin being lesbian. after she came out, you guys gotta sit back and accept they aren't gonna happen and that they are not to be shipped. hell, even steve done better than some of you and he was the one with a crush on her.
...that being said, PLATONICALLY, 353429839042865712512533145/10. I love them so so so much platonically like they are my life. i love them so much as best friends bc they're literal soulmates. Screw steve needing a girlfriend, all he needed was a best friend his own age. And now he has one in Robin. Robin is his best friend that he needed in seasons 1 and 2 but didn't have. She's literally his other half and I swear to GOD if the duffer brothers break my heart and kill robin, they best kill steve, too. if one of them die, they both die. and it better be together. you hear me, duffer brothers!? TOGETHER.
Like platonically, steve and robin are so made for each other. it's crazy to think robin sat behind steve for a year and he never noticed her. like their lives could have gotten so much better if they had met earlier........... like you can tell even with all the upside-down shit going on, steve is the happiest he's ever been. robin brings out the best in him and honestly, he brings out the best in robin, too. if these two don't get the happy ending they deserve, I'll sob. even if that happy ending is them both dying together and leaving the hellhole that's known as Hawkins.
All i'm saying is they better get their happy ending. they are the best duo and they deserve the world. Robin needs a girlfriend and steve... needs to be humbled (robin's good at humbling him lmao). i love them, istg if they die I'll die too, but they better die together.
