I had to shove my phone into my pocket fast. I could hear yelling. I building hopped over above the alley where I heard the yelling.

Inside were 3 masked people surrounding a young mom and her son. I jumped down on top of one of the masked people, taking him down for the count. I kicked one of the others with a high kick to the head, their body going down. The last one was prepared by the time I got to them. Each punch was returned. Each kick, kicked back. They pulled a knife and stood ready for my next attack. I couldnt feel any plant life near me. I really should have plants in my pockets or something since it's hard to summon plants without concentration. New York is not the plant-y-est. I crouched low and lunged into their abdomen. I felt a quick stab on my arm before the masked person was on the ground.

I stood up breathing heavily. My shoulder felt like it had been stabbed, which I guess it had. I turned towards the mother and son. I grabbed a pack of sticky notes and a pen out of my pocket and wrote. "Are you both ok?"

"Yes, thank you." The women said after reading.

I grabbed another off the stack, "Do you mind calling 911? I can wait for them."

"Of course." She said grabbing her phone and calling.

The little boy looked at me in awe.
"You're really cool." He said.

I grabbed another one and wrote, "You're really cool, too." And handed it to him.

The look of joy on his face was enough to make my life worth it.

"Ok I'll called them and they're on the way." The women said.

"Head home, be safe!" I wrote.

"We will, and thank you again!" She said before walking towards their home.

I leaned against the wall, taking a deep breath. Vines snaked around the unconscious people, holding then together. I climbed the fire escapes quickly and quietly and sat on the roof to wait for the police.

The police had finally pulled up and gotten the criminals. And that was my cue to go. I went back to my new home and opened my window, crawling in.

I changed into pjs and lay down in bed, slowly drifting off to sleep.

I looked up through my messages after Ivy said Stark texted through them. He didnt even deleted them. And he calls himself a genius. I figure Stark will ask me about her soon. Shes my kid now, he cant adopt her like his, how many kids does he have at this point?

I'm willing to protect her from anything.
