Koga groaned a bit as sunlight peaked through his slightly opened curtains, even more so when he heard his alarm go off. The first day of school was never easy, well for most kids. Koga didn't mind it one bit, as he enjoys school.

He stood up out of bed, leaving to take care of his bathroom needs before re-entering his room to change. He decided on a pair of blue jeans, a black t-shirt, and his usual grey jacket he wears for basketball and football. He puts his greyish white sneakers on before putting on his headband and fixing his hair into a ponytail. He grabs his backpack, exiting his room and entering the space near the front door.

"Have a good day at school, Koga!" His mom called out from the kitchen.

"See you later, mom!" Koga called back, leaving the house to catch the bus.

He waited for a little bit until the bus pulled up, the doors opening for him to enter. He walks to his usual spot in the back of the bus and taking his seat across from Ginta and Hakkaku, with both of the males continuing their conversation as if Koga had never walked on. Though Koga never minded it, as he usually stays quiet on the bus in the morning. It's how he gets his thoughts together and goes through the schedule for his day.

This is how he liked it, the same routine, perfect to him. Nothing has changed, at least until he got to the next stop.

Weird, Koga thought, we've never stopped here before.

"We get a new kid or something?" Ginta asked, stopping his and Hakkaku's conversation in its tracks.

"I guess so. Wanna make bets on the kid before they get on?" Hakkaku asked, Ginta immediately agreeing.

While Koga would usually partake in their little bet, he decided against it this time, actually curious about this new kid. It was a nice house, so he assumed the kid had the possibility of being a rich, snobby brat. However, all of his thoughts suddenly stopped when he saw a red beanie from Infront of the front seats. It was a boy who seemed to be around Koga's age, just about three inches shorter. He had long black hair that was left down and was wearing black jeans with a white t-shirt and a red flannel. A purple pearl necklace was draped around his neck that was a little contrasting to his outfit, which made Koga all the more curious.

The kid sat in the seat in front of Koga, taking out his phone and putting his earbuds in after putting his skateboard down next to him. Of course, the two idiots next to him wanted to bother the poor boy, leaving Koga feeling embarrassed for the first time when his friends talked to a new kid when he's around. Weird... he thought.

"Hey kid!" Ginta said, successfully gaining the boys attention.

He took his earbud out, facing Ginta with an unphased expression. "Yeah?"

"You're new, right?" Hakkaku asked.

"What's it to you?" The boy replied, seeming annoyed with the two already.

This was when Koga decided to save the boy from his friend's antics, pushing the two back to their seat and peaking around his to face the boy.

"Sorry about those two, they're idiots," Koga started before holding his hand out to the boy, "the names Koga, and you?"

The boy paused for a second, eyeing Koga a bit before taking his hand and shaking it. "Inuyasha."

Koga smiled a bit, "well Inuyasha, what grade are you in? I'm sure you'll need someone to show you around."

"I'm a senior."

"Sweet! Me too. Maybe I can offer to show you to your classes, y'know, until ya get used to it?"
