The next day, Koga decided to introduce Inuyasha to his friends at lunch. He met up with Inuyasha after class and walked with him to the cafeteria. At their usual table already sat Kagome, Miroku, and Sango. Sure, he had his sports friends as well, but he hangs out with them enough already. It was nice to have a more chill group to hang around during lunch.

"Hey guys," Koga greeted as the two of them sat down. "This is Inuyasha. Is it cool if he sits with us from now on?"

Everyone took their turns welcoming Inuyasha to the group, however, Koga noticed the look of unease on Kagome's face. And she wasn't quiet about her thoughts on the matter at all.

"What changed your mind about this, all of a sudden?" She asked, causing Miroku and Sango to look at her with confusion. "Wasn't he a major asshole to you a few weeks ago?"

"Who I am or aren't an asshole to is my damn business," Inuyasha said, knowing already that Kagome was going to be a major thorn in his side.

Koga had to intervene quick before things got out of hand. Not only did Inuyasha have a temper, but Kagome's strong personality was something that would easily cause a fight. If Koga didn't try so hard to be nice, he would have fought with her several times.

"Look, it doesn't matter now. Inuyasha is a friend of mine, and I hope he can become friends with you all as well," Koga said, shutting Kagome up rather quickly.

Inuyasha didn't mind the group. Sure, he found them a bit annoying, but they were entertaining and rather nice. Perhaps he could get used to this.

The days turned into weeks as Inuyasha hung more around the group. He even considered them friends now. Still, Kagome continued to pose an issue, but everyone was just gradually ignoring her. However, Inuyasha was slowly starting to realize that he stuck to Koga more often. And he was afraid of the possible reason why.

Inuyasha discovered that he was bisexual his freshman year of high school when he found out he had a crush on a guy in his math class. However, that crush didn't last very long. But because of this, Inuyasha was afraid to admit that he could have a crush on Koga now.

He couldn't have a crush on Koga, he just couldn't. But it was a possibility. Perhaps that's why he stuck close to the boy, why he couldn't stop thinking about him, why he blushed every time Koga complimented him. The signs were all there, he just didn't want to admit it.

Little did he know, Koga was realizing the same thing.

Koga had figured out he was gay in middle school; he just never admitted it to anyone. How would that look be for him with his sports career? The guys would never let him live it down nor would they want to even play on the same team as him.

He realized pretty quickly that he had a crush on Inuyasha. Not only did he find the boy attractive, but he was drawn to his mysterious personality. He admired the determination Inuyasha had for his interests, and he wasn't so mean once you got to know him a little.

Right now, all the boys really wanted was to just hang out with one another.

Once they said goodbye to their friends, Inuyasha turned to Koga and rubbed the back of his neck.

"So... do you want to come over? I got this new video game," Inuyasha offered, causing Koga to smile.

"I'm guessing I'm player two?" Koga asked as the two began to walk in the direction of Inuyasha's house.

"No shit, Sherlock." This caused both boys to laugh a little.

It was at this point where Inuyasha was starting to consider Koga his best friend, and Koga was beginning to do the same. Sure, he's only known Inuyasha for about a month and a half, but he just felt a strong connection to him and loved being around him.

Koga greeted Sesshomaru as they walked into the house, Inuyasha ignoring his brother as usual. This was something that Koga was always curious about. Why was Inuyasha so cold towards his brother? Sure, he started being a little nicer since he became friends with Koga, but Sesshomaru seemed so used to it. So, this had to have been going on for a while now.

As they sat down in Inuyasha's room, Koga decided to bring it up.

"Hey, Inuyasha. Can I ask you something?" Koga asked as Inuyasha booted up the game.

"What?" Inuyasha asked, not really paying too much attention.

"Why are you so cold to Sesshomaru all the time?"

Inuyasha stopped in his tracks. He hated talking about his family, and he really didn't want to talk about it now of all times. He was already conflicted about his feelings for Koga, so adding this on top had the chance to be too overwhelming for him. Still, he didn't want to be rude to Koga anymore.

Inuyasha sighed, sitting down on his bed next to Koga with the controllers in his hand.

"If you tell anyone any of this, I'll rip your damn head off. Got it?" Koga nodded, swearing that he wouldn't say anything. "Fine. Sesshomaru wasn't so nice to me when we were kids for starters. Being the baby of the family meant I got a lot of the attention, attention that Sesshomaru didn't get. He was jealous so to speak. It got better, though with time. Then..." Inuyasha swallowed the lump in his throat. He never told anyone about this before. "My parents got into a car crash when I was in middle school and died on the way to the hospital. Sesshomaru was in college, so he decided to take on a more parental role and take care of me. I guess I just wanted my brother. I didn't want my brother to act like my dad. I miss what him and I had, and I hate that he's different. You're the first one I've told, so if you tell anyone this, consider my trust gone."

Koga both felt sorry for the boy and felt like he fell for the boy once more. He felt special that he was the first one Inuyasha felt comfortable enough to tell.

He placed a hand on Inuyasha's shoulder, noticing the tears that Inuyasha was trying to blink back.

"I'm sorry, I can't imagine going through that," Koga said.

"It was a long time ago. No use dwelling on it now," Inuyasha said, handing Koga one of the controllers, "now are we gonna play or not?"

Koga smiled, taking the controller from Inuyasha's hand. Both boys blushed as their hands brushed against each other, but neither of them mentioned it.

As they began to play, more questions began popping into Koga's head. Perhaps now would be a good time to ask since Inuyasha was in a sharing mood. But maybe not anything deep like the first question.

"Why is your hair black but Sesshomaru's hair is white?" Koga asked, causing Inuyasha to chuckle.

"What is this, twenty questions?" Inuyasha asked, pausing the game.

"Just curious. You pretty much know everything about me and yet I know virtually nothing about you."

Inuyasha sighed, "alright. My hair is actually white too, I just dye it black."

"Why?"

"I don't think I look good with white hair. Sesshomaru rocks it pretty well, but I didn't. I also got bullied for it in elementary and middle school, so I dyed it freshman year. Been dying it ever since."

After that, they pretty much began ignoring the game, asking each other questions back and forth. It was rather nice getting to know each other better. Inuyasha was starting to feel like a normal teenager again. He never wanted it to end.
