"Does your brother know?" Koga asked as Inuyasha drove to his house. He had just picked Koga up after football practice and were heading back to Inuyasha's house for a sleepover. It was mostly to help each other with homework and partially because they just wanted to.
"No, but he's not dense as much as I like to think he is. He'll figure it out the second we step into the door. I don't plan on hiding it around him if you're comfortable with that," Inuyasha said, his eyes never faltering from the road ahead of him.
"That's fine, as long as he doesn't tell anyone else," Koga said. He still had yet to come out to his family and his sports buddies, and he wanted to be the one to tell everyone.
"He won't, trust me. He's an ass, but he wouldn't do that to you," Inuyasha reassured, allowing Koga to take his hand.
They arrived to Inuyasha's house shortly after, walking inside hand in hand. Sesshomaru poked his head out from the kitchen doorway, smiling at both of them before noticing their hands together.
"I knew it!"
Inuyasha sighed and let go of Koga's hand. "Shut up, Sesshomaru! You didn't know shit!" He followed his brother into the kitchen to argue.
"I so called that! I knew he wasn't going to stay just your friend forever!"
Koga laughed to himself and made his way down the hall and into Inuyasha's room, kicking his shoes off before laying down on Inuyasha's bed. He sometimes wished he had the love for his siblings that those two did for each other. It's not that him and his brothers didn't love each other. They just weren't close. Koga was the baby of the family, so his brothers never bothered to get close to him as they were all significantly older than him and had their own lives to live. Koga was the only one left at home.
"Keep arguing, asshole! You're gonna burn whatever dog food you're cooking!" Inuyasha said before opening the door to his room and walking in. He took a deep breath, something that Koga taught him to do to help him control his anger better.
"The day I hear you compliment him, I know you're sick," Koga said with a chuckle.
"Haha, very funny, Wolf," Inuyasha said sarcastically. It was a nickname Inuyasha had started calling him after he found out what his sports group calls themselves.
"I am funny, in fact, Mutt," Koga responded. That was the nickname Koga started calling Inuyasha as a retaliation against the wolf nickname. It stuck.
Inuyasha smiled and lied down between Koga's legs, his head on Koga's chest with his arms around his torso. Koga smiled and wrapped his arm around Inuyasha's torso, using his free hand to run his fingers through his soft, black hair.
It was nice getting to see him like this. It was rare when anyone got to see Inuyasha so calm and relaxed. He always seemed angry or on alert, but now he had his eyes closed, his breathing was steady, his muscles relaxed. Koga found it adorable how much Inuyasha loved having his hair played with.
Inuyasha let out a small yawn before adjusting so he was looking up at Koga. "We should probably get started on our homework. You said you needed help with an essay, right?"
Koga smiled, continuing to run his fingers through Inuyasha's hair. "Yeah, but we can do that later. We have all weekend. Besides, you seem tired."
"I am, but we have stuff to do. I can just chug a Monster." He tried to get up, but Koga pulled him right back down.
"And how many of those have you had today?" Koga asked, sighing when Inuyasha stayed silent. "Figured. Those aren't good for you, y'know? What's got you so tired, anyway?"
