unbeknownst ,, chapter twenty one.
JADON AND BUKAYO WERE SPRAWLED OUT on Chanaïs' sofa, a controller in each of their hands as they engaged in yet another round of Fifa.
"I don't know when my house became the designated hang out spot, but J don't like it," the girl huffed, considering the fact that she was paid no attention to since her two friends came round.
"Deal with it," Bukayo shrugged. He managed to dodge as she threw a pillow at him, but it led to his team losing possession of the ball as Jadon managed to score a goal. "You're an opp for that, Nai."
"Deal with it," she mocked.
They decided to take a break, Jadon went to rummage through Chanaïs' fridge for something to eat whilst Bukayo texted a few people back.
"So," he suddenly dragged out, laying on the floor on his stomach with his feet kicking behind him, a position that got a small laugh out of Chanaïs. "What's the latest with you and Mason?"
"Ask him, I haven't spoken to him in a couple of days."
"Have you ever thought that maybe, just maybe, you're both overreacting?"
"Nope."
"Well, you should consider the thought."
"No thanks."
"My sister in struggling, I'm trying to help you here," Bukayo huffed. "Mason may be moving mad sometimes, but you two really suit each other and it won't work if you're both refusing to just talk it out."
Chanaïs considered his words for a few minutes before shrugging, refusing to acknowledge that he was right. She felt a little lost without texting Mason, someone she talked to almost everyday for the past few months. But she was also extremely stubborn and wouldn't give in to him just like that.
"Jesse's throwing a party," Jadon suddenly announced.
"Again?" Bukayo and Chanaïs said at the same time.
"Yep. Loads of people are going and it starts in three hours."
"I mean, I have nothing else to do," said Chanaïs, already getting up to get changed.
"Jadon's driving," Bukayo said.
"And when did Jadon agree to do that?" The said boy replied.
THE PARTY WAS A USUAL LINGARD PARTY, packed to the brim and half the people there were people that Chanaïs didn't even know."I'm gonna go get a drink, do you want one?" Jadon asked her. Bukayo had already gone, spotting one of his friends in the garden of the large house that Jesse had rented out.
