"What is?" Elena asked sleepily as she stood up on the bed. The sun was shining brightly, and Mrs. Lavenia was holding a newspaper in her hands.

"Is it something in important?" Elena asked looking at the papers. He aunt turned the pages and jabbed her finger on to one of the places on the paper and said, see it!"

Elena stared at the paper and looked at it repeatedly to make sure that what she read was right.

"You've won! You've won!" Mrs. Lavenia said hugging Elena. Elena jumped out of the bed. They put the paper aside.

"Well, everything aside, let's go and get you need a dress for the awards ceremony.

"Thank you, aunty," Elena said as she ate the sandwiches on her plate. "this is really good."

"Well, it tomatoes and egg sandwiches. Tomatoes and eggs are both freshly out of the garden!"

"You have vegetables growing too?" Elena asked as she ate the sandwiches.

"Yes, I will show you, but first we need to go to Maya's Materials and get the cloth and things we need for the dress!"

"Alright," said Elena, as she drank her glass of fresh milk. Then she had some strawberry with cream. "I feel stuffed now!" Elena said getting up from her chair.

"Well, let's go and get ready!" Mrs. Lavenia said as they went out of the dining room.

Elena went to her room and changed into a dress. She tied her hair with a blue ribbon while looking at herself in the mirror.

She looked up at the swallow nest which was now empty. All the birds had flown away. "It's so lucky that the swallow decided to build the nest right in my room, otherwise I might have never won the competition in the first place!

She went out into the living room and looked at all the ornaments on mantlepiece. There was a trophy of a silver horse. "I wonder what this was for?" Elena said as she took a closer look at the trophy. Written in small letters was the name, Winner of the 1950 Annual Horse Race, Peter Phoenix.

"Peter Phoenix? Who in the world is that?" Elena thought, she was sure that she had heard that name before, somewhere, at least once.

"Well, I bet aunt Lavenia knows," she said, making up her mind to ask aunt Lavenia, looking at the trophy.

Then there was a musical box. "I wonder if this works!" Elena looking at the musical box closely. Then she saw a key and wound it up the musical box. The ballet dancer started to spin around to the tune of twinkle star!

Then there was a ceramic shepherdess and a shepherd with two sheep. "Ready?" Mrs. Lavenia, coming out dressed in a long skirt and a blouse.

"Yes!" Elena said and asked, "Who is Peter Phoenix?"
