The doorbell rings, bringing me out of my boring thoughts.

Kayla: I can't wait to tell Mummy about my day!

I hear Kayla squeal on the other side of the door.

Jaden: I'm glad you had fun Kayls but remember, you have to act calm. Mummy can't know I gave you a load of candy okay?

Kayla: Okay, It'll be our little secret daddy!

She giggles, I open the door and see Jaden crouched on the ground holding Kayla while she plays with his hair.

Bella: So what's this little secret I'm hearing about.

Kayla: Oh, you heard nothing Mummy. Nothing at all.

She says holding her finger up to Jaden's lips.

Bella: Whatever you say, How was your day with daddy?

I ask, her face immediately lights up and she starts bouncing in her spot.

Kayla: It was so good! We played princesses and I styled uncle Brycies hair! Then we played in the pool and Joshy bought a puppy! we should really get a puppy mommy.

She says quickly, while jumping from one foot to the other.

Bella: Wow baby that sounds so fun but I don't think we'll be getting a puppy.

Kayla: Noooo,Pleasee?

Jaden: Kayls you've had a great day, don't ruin it by whining now okay?

Kayla: Fine...

She pouts clinging onto my leg.

Kayla: I'm tired mommy,

Bella: Okay hunny, lets get you to bed yeah?

Kayla: can daddy come say goodnight?

Bella: of course.

I pick Kayla up and walk upstairs with Jaden following behind.

We quickly change her into some pyjamas and then we tuck her into bed.

Jaden: Goodnight baby,

Bella: Sweat dreams love,

Jaden and I kiss her forehead, I make sure that she's warm enough and then Jaden and I leave the room.

Jaden: Before I leave can I talk to you?

Bella: of course,

Jaden and I go downstairs and sit on the couch.

Bella: So what did you want to talk about?

Jaden: so uhh, I've just been wondering ever since you told me about Kayla, Why didn't you say something when you found out you were pregnant? I'm not angry or anything just a little confused.

Bella: Oh, Do you remember the night after our 11th grade winter formal? When I was staying out your house?

Jaden: Kind of yeah.

Bella: We were in bed, cuddling and we started talking about our future.

*Flashback*

Jaden and I were lying in bed, he was sitting with his back against the headboard and I was lying with my head resting on his lap.

Bella: Would you want kids in the future?

Jaden: God no.

Bella: Why not?

I sit up to look at him.

Jaden: why would you want to bring another innocent child into this world? It's shit. I would never ever put my kid through that. Would you?

Bella: No, I guess not..

*End of flashback*

Jaden: That makes a lot more sense now.

He laughs nervously.

Jaden: I'm sorry, I was really young back then...and probably really drunk.

Bella: It's okay Jae, I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner. I was too nervous, I thought you'd be really pissed and that you'd ask me to get an abortion.

Jaden: I'm sorry that I made you feel like that but I would of never told you what to do with your body baby...

Bella: I knew that...I was also scared that you would leave instead. I'm sorry.

Jaden: Don't worry about it Bell,

He says wrapping his arm around me and kissing my head. He rests his chin on my head while running his hand though my hair.

Jaden: Thank you for giving me such a beautiful child.

He whispers, Moving away and making me look at him by holding my chin.

We both start leaning in slowly....
