Lizzie's POV: Hearing another sigh escape the ex-tribrid's lips, I rolled my eyes as I eyed the braid critically. "If you don't stop moving. I'm going to have to start over", I warned, causing her to huff as she shifted on the bed restlessly.

"Lizzie, we really should be doing something other than doing each others' hair. This isn't a vacation", she reminded. "Lives are literally at stake here", she pointed out.

"When aren't they", I mumbled to myself. "You need to loosen up a bit. I saved the Hobbit from his prison sentence and sent him to the bonfire earlier. He's fine", I shrugged. "And, if I remember correctly, we don't have to worry about a monster for at least a few days", I told her, undoing the braid as I ran my fingers through soft blonde hair, causing her body to relax slightly. I smiled as my body's muscle memory kicked in, causing Hope to practically melt in my arms.

"Your doing that on purpose", she mumbled.

"It's my hair", I threw back.

"It's cheating", she whined, causing me to roll my eyes.

"It's not my fault that my body is used to it, Hope. Josie fixes my hair all the time", I pointed out. "At least, she used to", I finished sadly, before narrowing my eyes on a faint scar on Hope's arm. "Shit", I cursed, causing her muscles to tense as she sat up straighter.

"What's wrong", she asked in concern, looking over her shoulder at me.

"Your arm", I pointed out, watching her eyebrows come together in confusion as she studied the scar curiously. "Does that mean that we changed things", I asked her hesitantly.

"I don't know", she admitted.

"Hope? What does this mean", I asked her.

"Nothing good", she sighed, moving to lay back on the bed before turning and looking at the clock. "You should probably go. Landon should be leaving the party any time now", she pointed out, causing me to nod absentmindedly.

"Does this mean that I can actually attend the party", I asked her hopefully.

"No", she told me simply, causing me to huff.

"What's the point in time travel if I can use it to change things", I complained, getting to my feet. "Well, at least I can watch everyone from the woods like some creepy ass scene out of a horror movie", I grumbled, pulling Hope's shoes on before walking toward the door. "Learn to live a little Hope", I commented, shutting the door behind me. "Party pooper", I muttered.

"I heard that", Hope shouted.

"No, you didn't", I yelled back, walking off down the hall as I allowed my mind to wander.

I don't get why Hope is worry so much. All we have to do is prevent him from leaving the school for the twentieth time and party. What doesn't she get about this?

Shaking my head, I walked out of the school before entering the woods, hearing the faint laughter and music from the party. "This is so not fair", I grumbled. "This is the second time I'm missing this party", I huffed, before quickly getting bored.

That party was really starting to sound like more fun.

"Screw this", I mumbled, walking toward the sounds only to nearly get ran over as I landed on my back. "Shit", I groaned, sitting up to see Landon rubbing his head as he sat up. "What's wrong with you? You nearly killed me", I huffed, causing him to pause as if just realizing that he run into someone else.

"Oh my god, Hope, I'm so sorry", he apologized, jumping to his feet as he helped me to my feet.

"What's got you in such a hurry anyway", I asked, brushing myself off.

"I...I thought I heard something, and then there was this weird bird...", he trailed off, shaking his head. "It's just been a really long day", he admitted.

"You were scared of...a bird", I asked him slowly, causing his cheeks to flush.

"I...it was dark okay", he defended, causing me to shake my head with a small laugh.

"Come on, Hobbit. Let's get you back to that party", I offered.

"A-actually-"

"We are going back to that party, and you are going to enjoy it. You got it", I told him sternly, causing his eyes to widen momentarily. "I am going to that party dammit. There's no way I'm missing it this time", I grumbled, watching his expression shift into one of amusement as he followed after me.

"So...", he drawled out. "You still haven't told me what you are", he pointed out, causing me to purse my lips.

"I'm a unicorn", I told him seriously, causing his mouth to drop open in shock.

"Wait, seriously", he asked, causing me to crack up.

"No, but you should've seen your face", I laughed. "No, I'm actually a si-uh...it's kinda hard to explain", I told him. It's not like I've memorized Hope's confusing family dynamics. "Basically I'm a Hybrid of three different creatures. A tribrid", I explained, waving him off. "My family has some witches, some werewolves, and some vampires. Put it all together and you get-"

"A unicorn", he joked, causing me to pause to send him an amused smile.

"Not bad, Hobbit", I chuckled, before taking his hand. "Now let's party", I grinned, pulling him toward the party as I grabbed a red solo cup. "Let's just hope that Josie was able to keep Penelope from spiking the drinks this time", I muttered, downing the cup in one go. "Oh, quick tip. Don't take weed from Satan", I told him, watching his eyes widen before he frowned in confusion.

"Uh...okay", he nodded, causing me to shake my head before handing him a cup.

"Drink up, Hobbit", I suggested. "You probably need this almost as much as I do", I told him.

"You're not what I expected", he admitted, causing me to raise my eyebrows questionably.

"Is that a bad thing", I asked him.

"I...I kind of like it", he smiled, taking a sip from the cup as I heard a familiar song come on.

"Oh, I love this song", I squealed, as he smiled in amusement.

"Would you like to dance", he offered, causing me to pause as I turned to give him an odd look. "U-unless you don't want to", he said nervously, causing me to sigh in defeat.

"Fine", I relented, grabbing another cup as I allowed him to pull me closer as I fought the urge to either pour the drink over him or throw up on him. Downing another cup, I cursed Hope's tolerance profoundly before feeling something press against my thigh, causing me to jump away from him in horror.

"What? What's wrong", he asked in confusion.

"I...I...", I stuttered, glancing down to see something sticking out of his pocket. "What's that", I asked him, ignoring his question.

"Uh...", he frowned, looking down before pulling a knife from his pants, causing me to relax slightly.

"Isn't that from the library", I asked him, causing him to panic.

"Hope, I...I don't know how...", he stammered.

"Relax, Landon", I told him calmly, causing his eyes to widened. "I know it wasn't you. Let's just get it back before my da...", I trailed off, attempting to cover up my mistake with a cough. "Before Dr. Saltzman finds out", I finished, wincing at how strange that sounded. Noticing the odd look on his face, I frowned to myself before glancing him over for some kind of injury he might've sustained earlier. "Are you okay? You look kinda...", I paused, as a small smile grew on his face.

"You said my name", he whispered, causing me to blink as I stared at him oddly.

"Yeah...", I said, taking the cup from his hands. "That's enough alcohol for you", I laughed, causing him to roll his eyes with a small chuckle.

I have no idea where this chapter came from 😂🤣
