Lizzie's POV: Finally able to find a change of clothes that Hope had hidden near the old mill, I quickly got changed before making my way toward the school to find Hope and fix whatever the hell that spell did to us. Walking out of the woods, I made my way across campus before noticing dad's car pulling up outside the gate. Without thinking twice, I hurried over to help him out of the car before pausing momentarily as I looked him over in bewilderment. "Where's your cane", I questioned, causing him to chuckle lightly.

"Very funny", he said, walking passed me as Kaleb stepped out of the car.

Right, the attack hasn't happened yet.

Turning around to follow him into the school, I paused, spotting Josie standing at the gate, causing a smile to spread across my face. I haven't seen or even heard from Josie since I've turned. My smile dimmed at the thought before melting away completely as I realized something else.

I couldn't feel her.

My heart dropped at the realization as I wrapped my arms around myself subconsciously.

How could I be so close to my twin, but feel as though we're a thousand miles apart?

"Welcome to the Salvatore School. We're your tour guides", I heard a familiar voice say, causing me to look up to notice that someone else was standing beside Josie.

That was my line.

My mood soured as I curled my hands at my sides, glaring at the imposture in anger.

"I'm Josie", my sister greeted.

"I'm Lizzie. Sisters", the other girl introduced, studying me closely.

"Twins", Josie added.

"Fraternal. Obvs", the other girl said, causing my nostrils to fare as my cheeks reddened in anger.

"Morning, Hope", they greeted, linking arms with Kaleb. Meeting familiar blue eyes, they nodded to me silently as I struggled to remember how to breath.

"What the fuck", I blurted out, watching myself wince, as everyone else paused to look at me in confusion. "What in Ken's name is going on here", I demanded, glaring at myself.

"Later", she hissed back.

"Are you...", I trailed off, finding the situation too much to handle at the moment.

"What's wrong, Hope", she asked, causing me to furrow my eyebrows at the way she said the name. "Wake up on the wrong side of your cage", she teased, causing me to narrow my eyes as I swallowed back a growl.

"Everyone behave", dad spoke up.

"Love you, dad", Josie waved, as I watched myself nod back at me once more as they walked away.

"This has got to be a nightmare", I said, pinching myself. I winced, rubbing my arm as I turned around to see dad watching me strangely. "I thought I saw something", I laughed nervously, walking passed him as I looked down at my hands. "Please let me be wearing the illusion ring", I mumbled, as dread filled my stomach. "I'd rather be planning my own funeral than be trapped in this nightmare", I grumbled.

Hope's POV: I closed my eyes, and took a deep breath as we entered the school. "Everyone gets along with everyone here, for the most part", Josie started as I looked around cautiously. I had to remember to be careful. Don't be nervous. I can't let anyone know that anything is different. "The wolves are pretty cliquey. They like to hang with their own", Josie continued, sending me a look as I internally panicked.
