the seven boys all take a deep breath as they knock on chan's bedroom door.
"should we really do this?" changbin whispers to the guys.
felix nods, "yeah! of course we should. we need to do this to make sure chan won't do something stupid."
"and so riley doesn't get her heart broken," minho says with a nod. "we don't need that."
"you care awfully lot about her, huh?" seungmin asks in a whisper, earning a mad glare from minho.
"shut up, seungmin."
they hear some movement around, making all seven of them widen their eyes.
"alright, shush!" felix mumbles.
a few seconds later the door opens, revealing chan in some shorts, socks, a beanie, and a black hoodie.
he frowns, "uh, are you guys alright?"
"we are concerned for you."
han places his hand in front of his mouth, earning a poke in his side from felix. "too soon, mate."
"why, why are you concerned for me?" chan asks with a chuckle. "there's nothing going on with me right?"
changbin steps forward, "han told us what you said about riley earlier today," he starts, his eyes looking for chan's. "that you needed to figure out what you wanted."
han nods, "yeah, and we're here to tell you that we are concerned for the outcome, and that you should really consider what you're about to do!"
chan smiles a little, then looking all the stray kids' members in their eyes one by one.
"guys... i'm happy to see that you're all concerned for me," he starts, his smile growing bigger. "but i promise i won't do any reckless things."
"then what did you mean by needing to figure out what you wanted?" felix asks.
"how to keep the friendship between all of us, especially with riley. if we both find someone, and changbin and minho find their soulmate, we might not see each other that much anymore, as all of us are on the road, doing promos and all that. riley will be home with the girls, but the girls will visit since they're you guys' soulmates! but riley isn't, so it might be harder for her to visit us, and especially when she meets someone and ends up dating them."
hyunjin's mouth falls wide open, "that is what you were concerned about? what you wanted to figure out?"
"yeah! i wanted to find a loophole somehow that she can visit us too if she wants too, perhaps with her significant other."
minho facepalms himself, "han, you fucking idiot."
han has his eyes widened and his mouth wide open. "dudes... i'm sorry."
"we were literally so concerned that you would do something reckless, and yet here you were concerned for our friendgroup..." changbin brings out.
"we should call the grouphat "han is a big dumbass" instead of minho," jeongin says with a chuckle. "he's more of a dumbass right now."
han rolls his eyes, "shut up, i was just freaking out a little."
chris chuckles at his best friends. "you guys don't need to worry. like i said, me and riley won't work out anyway. i might've had a crush on her for a little while, but i know we won't work out. it's okay, we both know it, and so do you guys. we'll all be fine."
th other seven guys look each other in the eyes and sigh, their heads nodding. "good. well... that was it. we'll go back to our own dorm and rooms now," felix says with a shrug.
"can't believe we were really this stupid, especially han," seungmin says with a scoff.
he's the first to walk away from there, back to his own dorm. he just wants to lay in bed and watch a movie or something.
jeongin, felix and minho follow seungmin to their dorm, saying goodbye to the other four.
han facepalms himself.
"i'm such an idiot."
"true," hyunjin says as he pats his younger friend on the back. "you sure are."
changbin chuckles and skips to his own bedroom, "agreed. but at least we got it sorted! it's cute how concerned he is about the friendship of our group!"
"agreed, it really is cute," hyunjin says with a nod. "we should tell the girls."
"yeah, i was going to call jisoo anyway," han says with a shrug. "see ya guys."
"bye," hyunjin and changbin reply, also going to their own bedrooms.
in the meantime, chan plops on his bed with his phone in his hand.
there's a picture of the thirteen of them on his screen, a smile around his face. he looks at riley's smile and sighs.
yeah, how much he's crushing on the girl... he knows she and him won't work out.
after all, he's got a soulmate connection, and riley doesn't have one.
they're meant to be with someone else. how hard it is to accept something like that, they should.
there is someone out there for chan that truly belongs with him. there is someone made for him, he just needs to find them.
in this universe riley and him don't belong together, and so be it. he just needs to accept that and move on.
because after all,
that's all what life's about.
accepting and moving on.
