"i'm bored."

"i'm almost done with this," chan mumbles, hitting the last zombie with the gun and him cheering. "got it!"

you roll your eyes, taking the tickets from the machine and pushing chris away from the zombie slaying machine.

"chan, when you said we would go on a date i didn't expect the other fourteen to be here too," you mumble, almost walking into hyunjin who ran towards the motorcycle game with han.

"i'm sorry," he says with a pout, his eyes looking into yours. "when i told changbin and minho the plan, they were so happy, i couldn't say no when they asked when we were going and if they could bring lanhua and robin. eventually that lead to the rest also coming and taking their girlfriends with them."

you sigh, "yeah... it's cute and all but... we're never really... alone."

you look chris into his eyes. "like, really alone, i mean."

"we will be! i promise. i'll take you on the cutest and best—"

"can we go somewhere now? maybe get some food and a drink or something? i'm a bit hot."

chan nods and takes your hand in his, then walking through the arcade hall towards the exit, getting towards the bar. you follow him, happy that you're out of the crowd a bit, and alone with chan.

"what do you want?"

"water is fine."

he nods and orders some water and fries for you and him, then turning towards you.

"i'm sorry our date isn't really a date anymore..." chan whispers, his eyes not on yours anymore.

when chris asked you out on a date and said he wanted to go to the arcade where he basically fell in love with you, you couldn't be happier. but when he said that you and him weren't going alone anymore an hour before the date, your excitement dropped.

not because you don't like the others, no, of course not. but it's because you want to be with him, alone.

you and him have been soulmates for two months now, but he has been away for six out of those eight weeks. and other than that, you're constantly with your friends, or working because work has to be done as well.

so when chris said he wanted to take you out on a date so you two could spend time together, it made you so happy. finally you could spend some time with him and be together, feel each other's presence and just experience how you two are as more than just friends.

just that didn't happen.

you sigh and thank the person behind the bar as he places down some fries and water. you take the fries and start eating them with the mayonaise it came with.

chan looks at you as you munch on the fries, him feeling like he did something wrong.

and he doesn't want that feeling.

it's just that he can't say no to his band mates, as he doesn't want to let them down either. but that leads to him letting you down, and that's something he has to get used to still... also having you.

"i'm sorry, riley," chan mumbles, also eating from his fries and taking sips from his water.

"i didn't mean to make you upset. i'm trying to balance my life, and i still find it hard to find a way to do so. i've been in this industry for years and i've been with these kids every day for a lot of those years... it's still hard for me to balance everything, since we are more than friends now. i'm not used to having someone."

he sighs and looks at you. "that doesn't make it okay, it really doesn't. i get why you're upset, and you have all the right to be. i just wanted to let you know i'm not used to being with someone romantically, and am figuring that out too."

you look up to him, nodding shortly. "thank you for letting me know."

you smile and move your hand forward, wiping some of his hairs out of his face. "we both need to get used to all of this. i'm not used to it either, and i get that it can be hard for you to balance your job and me as well since you're so busy too and need to take care of seven idiots in the meantime."

he chuckles, "yeah, i kinda do."

"i was just upset because i really hoped we could be together this time," you say with a pout, you then eating the last few fries from the little basket they were in.

"we will, soon, i promise."

he smiles. "and now for real. let's bake cookies, or a cake, and after that we can make dinner and just have a nice stay in day? how does that sound?"

you smile and nod, "perfect. this weekend?"

chan nods, "this weekend. i'm not going to play anything this weekend, or clear out my schedule, because this weekend is going to be all about you."

you laugh softly, and chris joins you.

"no channie's room either?"

chris pouts, thinking. "only if you'll allow me, but we'll see about that. maybe sunday. but like i said, it's all about you and me, this weekend. just you and me."

you nod and lean your head on his shoulder, smiling as you think about this weekend.

"you can stay over at mine too."

"i would love to, rye."

chan places a kiss on your head, closing his eyes, and enjoying your body close to his.

it's something he knows he can't get tired of.
